WIW: Blue linen & black - YouLookFab Forum

My BFF thrifted this linen/cotton blend jacket and then decided she didn't like it so gave it to me. I love the fact that the jacket isn't quite as fitted as my denim jackets - it's a little bit boxier. A nice change of silhouette IMHO. I also love the colour of the linen. It's lighter weight and therefore will be cooler than denim as well.

I've popped the jacket over top my trusty black sheath dress, added my pointy toe kitten heel black pumps and my cobalt blue/cream/black handbag. For jewelry, I have on my gold wedding band and a gold & turquoise cuff.

This is a very simple outfit and hopefully not boring. What do you think of the boxier fit of the jacket? Does this all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

One of my favourites on you recently. Classic pieces, pretty jacket, and great bag and shoes. Just beautiful.

Not boring at all. I really love that color blue with your black sheath. The jacket still has the casual vibe of a jean jacket without the weight. I will be watching the comments as I recently thrifted a similar linen/silk jacket in navy.

I'm with Ornella, simple is not boring. And this outfit is not boring. I like the bozy fit, it is a nice change of style. And that's a lovely soft blue color for you. The bag is a really fun piece and adds some whimsy to this look.

The jacket reads to me like a denim jacket but the light weight of it would make it incredibly pratical. I think it works beautifully and looks great. And I don't think I am every going to tire of seeing that bag.
