WIW: Black & Jewelled Silk

I love this silk jewelled print tank - it feels amazing on the skin and I adore the blush background with dark purple, blue and green mixed in. Today I decided to pair it with all black in a simple outfit so that the top is the star.

I chose my black skinnies (sister to the burgundy skinnies) and my black leather blazer to go with the tank and for footwear, went with my chunky Doc Marcies. My black round-top handbag and gold wedding band round out the outfit.

So what do you think? Does this all work together? Too much black? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

I like the juxtaposition of the soft silk top with the tough leather jacket and the RATE boots. I think you look gorgeous! I seem to see a lot of black outfits from you of late And you rock them IMO.

spot on Shannon - the top really sings with it's black back up sisters!! perhaps a bright overcoat or bag to lessen all the black?? - but I love the full black in the outfit - and I rarely wear black!!

Not too much black as far as I'm concerned. The muted colors and pattern in the top add a moody, mysterious feel. Love the bag and shoes too. Nice!

The multimedia blazer seems to break up the solid black. You look great.

Neel - I love to wear black and find it a reasonably flattering color for me - but I do have to be careful or else I would wear it every day.

dusst - my puffer coat when I stepped outside is bright citron - that definitely broke up the black!
