and went back and bought it on Friday
I wore it thus to church today. I tried with blue skinnies which were ok and ponte leggings which weren't. I'd love to wear them with white jeans if I ever get them. Other styling suggestions welcome!

Thanks delurked. I wasn't sure about the colour but I got lots of enabling here and even from my mum, so I went for it.
Here's a jumper whose colour I liked even better, but the style wasn't fashionable enough.

This is really one of your best ever. The sweater falls beautifully over the pants and you have the right amount of accessories IMO.

You look lovely, Anne, and that top is going to be so versatile. How about styling it with cropped trousers/jeans a la Angie's Friday post? I realise you are heading into winter, but maybe when the weather obliges?

Hi again, my response was interrupted! I was going to suggest trying it with a knee length pencil skirt (or shorter, but not too long or the proportions may not be right), tights and boots.

I do like the color of the other sweater too, and I know what you mean about needing to pass on a style.

I would style with black or denim ankle slim/skinny pants and put with gray or tan booties.

Sometimes it is all about the fit, and sizing down has done the trick!

Love the blue on you also but as you say, you want one with real style impact. The colour is also great on you and a fun change.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad you approve of the size change, though I only made it out of necessity.

While I'm still not 100 percent sold on this, I'm guessing from your approval that it is JFE. The truth is that I had left it too late in the season to shop (ironic, since winter only officially starts here on Wed) and that there were practically no other assymetric jumpers available, including only, especially in colours other than black or grey, and in a heavy enough weight to keep me warm.

It was possibly, at AUD $79, the most expensive sweater/jumper I have ever bought, though partly paid for in a voucher, so I hope it delivers!
