I thought Angie's post was very timely as I had to drive to Santa Barbara for the weekend. I used a more comfortable converse shoe as the regular converse chuck taylor's hurt me. I do love them though & wear them on days when I don't need to walk.
As I was packing minimally I needed them to double as shopping & hiking shoes. I tried on two different shirts, pants & bags. I chose the comfier skinny jeans in army green cotton, which are very stretchy & comfortable, after trying the dark rinse denim.
I don't own a dressy blouse so had to use the shirts I have. I chose the gingham one as it was a lighter weight cotton which was preferable for the weather here.
I tried a python embossed purse inspired by the leopard one in the example Angie posted for the photos, but chose a neutral bigger crossbody bag to be my only bag for the trip, other than an evening clutch. I chose the white denim jacket over the blue one so that I wouldn't get denim dye transfer on my light colored bag & also because I wanted to wear it again before the weather changes. I did pack the blue one though, in case I wore my black sheath dress during the weekend & needed a jacket. I prefer the blue one with that dress.
