Yesterday was freakishly warm, four degrees above freezing, which is beyond abnormal for this time of year. So this outfit was kind of brilliant for a rare day that felt like spring in what is really the depths of our winter. My ankles were so happy to be exposed!

This is my version of the boyfriend jean. In the past two years I have tried on at least fifteen different pairs to no avail. People (including my most trusted store owner who I rely on for honest fashion advice), have been convinced that they could find me a pair that would work. Then I put them on, and the consensus has been unanimous, it is not my best look. Not giving up though. But in the meantime, I've designated these as my BF jeans, Current and Elliot slouchy stillettos. Way more distressed than in is the norm for me, and the significantly dropped crotch has taken some getting used to. But they are fun.

To keep with the boyfriend theme, I paired them with my Theory boyfriend style blazer. Might be a touch long for this look, but I wanted to wear navy with these shoes. And I stole (technically borrowed) my husband's brown Prada belt because my belt collection is seriously lacking. Note, to self, buy that man some more fabulous belts! Equipment blouse and Isabel Marant booties.

I wore this outfit out to coffee with my friend, and she agreed that it was a totally different look for me, but she liked the change up. By the time I had to go out in the afternoon, I had to pair it with my Hunter boots because it was so slushy outside. Thank you Angie for the endless inspiration, this was such a fun exercise for me!
