I took a couple of days of from my craziness at work and hubby and I spent 4 wonderful days in Prince Edward County. We have never been there before - and what a beautiful and peaceful place it is! The weather was gloomy and rainy for the first two days but even then we had some glorious sunny moments - and the last 2 days were gorgeous!
My orchid trench and red jeans really helped to lift the gloomy weather on the first day - eve sun came out in the end I also found that combat boots are very handy for walking in the high sandy dunes - no sand gets inside. BF jeans are very practical for charging around parks and little villages and nothing can beat the comfort of a relaxed sheath dress with leggings and tall boots while still looking pulled together!
We also were lucky to be there during a 3 day art tour when you can visit local artists' studios, so much fun - especially when it is raining outside!
#4 was taken in Sandbanks provincial park where sand dunes tower to 30 meters above you and go for miles!
#5 was a view from our cottage - isn't it beautiful?
#6 was made in a winery with a stunning view of the lake - amazing place and they make an ice cider - yum!
Oh and ice cream! The best ever ice cream in Bloomfield - home made in small batches from local fruit. This was black raspberry flavor - and note how it matches my trench and the chair I sat in! Another cool ice cream flavor was rhubarb ginger - with real ginger inside, fresh and caramelized. But the coolest one was apple pie flavor ice cream - when they take home made vanilla ice cream and dump several real apple pies into it - oh my goodness, it is to die for... Can you tell that ice cream was a highlight of this trip and we drove 20 min to this village for it EVERY DAY!

Thank you for sharing my wonderful mini-vacation with me - it is much more fun if you can share it, right?
