WIW: a week before Christmas - YouLookFab Forum

I am MIA from the forum this week: my boys are back home from school and computer is firmly occupied now. I am sneaking in while they are having supper now to post my WIW for the last week!
#1 Raspberry and yellow
I usually wear this over sized sweater with skinnies but decided to pair it with a pencil skirt this time. I thought the combat boots will look funky with a pencil skirt but now I am not sure...Thoughts?

#3 My new asymmetric leather jacket with a green tunic and cognac boots - debuting it for work!
#4 That was a new combination for me inspired by Angie and her white shirts. This is my son's shirt and it is a bit wide in the hips so I may have it taken in. I wanted to try the white shirt with different outfits before committing to a new shirt - and I think I like it. Now I am on the lookout for a well fitting white shirt which is long enough for me! BTW notice my SS present form Christi - animal scarf tied in an authoritative way.
#5 My red dress - I have tried it with this scarf before but did not wear it out of the house like this. This time I did and also tried it with my grey boots. I am not sure if these boots are too loose in the ankle for this dress - what do you think?

I love the combo in #3 - very edgy looking without being overdone. And I can see that red dress in #5 becoming a real work horse in your wardrobe - I think the boots look fine with it. But I gotta say Sveta - that combination in #4 with the white shirt and shorter red jacket is making me SWOON!!!

You make it look easy to sport such different looks everyday, but I know it's not. I especially like 1, 2 and 4. I'm not completely sold on the colors in the scarf in 5, but love the shapes- the boots work and so does the belt.

I love the combat boots in #1! I think there is one pattern too many for my taste, and would wear plain black sheer hose in this.......But definitely keep the combat boot + pencil skirt vibe!

Sveta, I love your style. Each of these outfits has something special going on it it. I really like #1, except like Isis suggested, I think I'd prefer it with plain hose.

The Missoni tunic in #2 looks fabulous on you! The way you wear your Chanel-inspired jackets never fails to inspire me. I also like the scarf and dress pairing in #5. To my eye, the boots look nice with the dress too.

#2 is stellar. I like the idea of combat boots with pencil skirt, but agree with others about plainer hose. #4 id nice.

I think you must have been made to wear that bold Missoni print, Sveta. Not everyone could get away with it. But YOU wear IT; it does not wear you. And you wear it well.

I agree with the others about #1. Love the combo of the sweater with the skirt and love it with the boots; I'd simply tone down the hose so the boots can take more attention.

#3 is so fantastic I do not have any words to address it.

#4 is ladylike yet relaxed, and I am trying to figure out why that cropped jacket long top look is so great on you but looks not-so-great on me. Hmmm.

#5 is so rich and fun. I do think you can wear those boots with the dress. I see your point but I think the sleeves help to balance things visually. you might prefer it if you also had a casual jacket over top; that would make the dress seem less "dressy" and then the slightly slouchy ankles would seem even more intended.

Sveta, I love your outfits. All so different but all very you. #3 is my favorite! Edgy without being over the top. That look is to die for! And #2 is fabulous...that print was made for you! #4 is very refined and elegant. #1 is cool--I'll have to try the combat boots with pencil skirt idea too. #5 is very pretty. After seeing you post it before, I tried that dress on but unfortunately it didn't work for me (too baggy up top) so I'll have to return it. I ended up getting an eggplant dress instead. Oh well, you look great in it and it's so versatile!

I like the contrast of the fitted jacket and the relaxed fit of the button down in number 4. I think I would keep this shirt as is and search for a more fitted one if you want that in addition to this relaxed fit.

I also am drawn to the casual-cool vibe of the third outfit, but the Chanel jacket is also wonderful. You know your style and it shows. Sveta, I ADORE your style! All these are so inspiring, so beautiful! It's hard to pick a favorite, but maybe #2...? Or #4? I love your hair in #2.

I really dig #3 too, but I would add something sparkly, like a chain necklace, or maybe many chains, around the neck... just to create an interest. Although I can appreciate how you combine the elements to create an impression, a coolness, with the colors and the leather textures.

And what a stunning effect combining the scarf and dress in #5!

Oh Sveta, how do I love thee in a tunic? Stunning. I love the plum cowl with the raisin skirt! Your clothing never looks like it gets mussed up as your move (elegantly) around! The belt is killing me with #1; it goes great with the boots! Do they still make sweatery cable knit tights? They might look good with this outfit. I love the Missoni on you too! And did you know that you single handedly gave me "permission" to wear my new (p)leather jacket indoors like your one in number 3? I can't thank you enough!
Number 4 is great too, I have been playing around with my husband's white oxford shirt and I tried on a boys' one today in a store. I like how you styled it. And of course I LOVE the dress. I'll bet you will wear it a lot this winter. Enjoy all of your men at home and Happy New Year!
