WIW- A few catch-ups

Here are a few old WIWs.

#1 & 2- I also wore a necklace with some teal gems and a darker teal bangle, but I didn't have it on in the picture. I threw in #2 of me and my second daughter 'cause I thought it was pretty cute.

#3- I really like the colours together and like the jacket/dress, but I don't like the pants (or boots). How can I wear this jacket/dress?

#4 $ 5- A felt a little like a spunky flight attendant, but I like it. Forgot to get my girls to take a picture of the perfectly matched jacket, so I had to do that myself while they waited in the car. Haha.

#6- Waistcoat/vest generously given to me from Tricia. Its a little shorter than I'd like, but I'm still loving it. How would you ladies style it?

For #3 how does this look over a sleek bottom such as skinnies? Or closed with tights and a belt? Or over a sheath dress? For #6 maybe a pussy cat bow blouse? I like the contrast of masculine and feminine with a vest and blouse.

You're so cute and so are your daughters! I'm glad you like the vest - I always wanted to try it over a button-down shirt. I bet a pussy bow blouse would work too.

#4 and 6 are my faves. I like the waistcoat with the turtle. Perhaps add a long necklace or some pearls to fill in the neck? I think I'd prefer #3 with a sleeker pant. Can you wear it on it's own as a dress sans pants? I think that would look more streamlined too. You look great in colors!

I vote pass on your maxi skirt though. How do you feel about that?

4 and 6 are my favorites. I'd add a necklace or scarf to the vest outfit to fill in the neck area though.
I'm wondering if a more fitted blouse with the longer skirt would work better. As is, it seems to hide your figure. I can see this skirt with a pretty black blouse for a bit of an understated glamour look.
Did you try the coat dress unbuttoned? I think with sleeker pants, a tucked top and statement belt you could have a really fab outfit there.

4 is gorgeous - so fun! The jacket/dress looks slightly big on you? Or perhaps just the sleeves are a little long? Your little girl is cute, and I LOVE your teal walls!

I really like ##4 and 6 - a little spunk does not hurt at all
I am not fan of a long skirt in #1 - it does overwhelm you IMO.
Coat in #3 is too long for you I think. How would it look if shortened to the knee?

Your daughters are super-duper-adorable! I really like the spunky flight attendant look! I would try the jacket over skinnies, if possible. I also love the idea of the vest styled with a bow blouse, or some other type of button-up blouse, as was already suggested.

I like Sveta's suggestion of shortening the coat in #3 to the knee, then sleeker pants (or a skirt with hose!) and add a fun belt over the top. The vest is cute; I wear mine with t-shirts underneath (either crew, boat, or v-neck which I really like), but it would also look cute over a fitted button-up. I have a hard time with vests that are more cropped like this one, so hopefully someone else has some good suggestions for it!

Crystal, your daughters are beautiful and look just like their mom! I especially like you in pinks, fuchsia, and reds. How nice of Tricia to pass along her vest! The ladies have given you some great styling suggestions.

I'm definitely going to try the button-down shirt-dress buttoned up with tights (and maybe Rory boots if I end up gettign them). I think I'll even see about hemming it to my knees.

I'm not sure I can give up my maxi skirts and dresses, but I may think about wearing them less if they're not flattering.

I'm so happy so many of you liked #4. I was loving it in my head and then when I had it on, I just wasn't feeling it as much as I'd hoped. I think maybe its 'cause I work in such a casual setting and felt a little over-dressed.
