Formcore, normcore, I'm guilty

Inspired by IK's form core post this morning, and also by her recent Lulu kangaroo pocket sweater post, I went out to run a few errands in this today. Inordinately pleased with myself in my new Stan Smith sneakers. Unable to find them in women's sizes (and the men's are too big), the sales guy at Footlocker suggested I try the kids' size - which works if you are a women's size 8 or smaller. Less expensive, only one tax to pay, and slightly narrower cut. Win,win, win.

Very cute. I don't think the Stan Smiths come in women's sizes. I was looking for them last month on the Adidas website, and ended up with a bunch of a Stella McCartney gear -- all of which I hated and returned.

Wow Lisa this looks fantastic. The cardigan really makes this look for me. I am not so much into gear and this type of casual but you (and IK) have made it look so incredibly attractive. The cardigan adds that effortless chic effect. You know "Im so cool I will just throw this cardigan on and go"... Love it.

ummlila - the Stella stuff always looks better in magazines than it does in reality, don't you find? Everytime I get excited about finding it somewhere , it ends up looking really thin, flimsy, with strange pale colours that IRL don't flatter anyone other than her, and her pal Gwyneth. Or maybe I'm just jealous

LisaP, I'm with you. Love what Stella (and Yohji) make in theory, always disappointed in practice.

Adidas SLVR makes some cool stuff, though.

The Stella McCartney for Adidas was very flimsy, excessively logoed and the sizing was so off -- the leggings were practically going to fall off and I could hardly get the tops on (I am very flat chested!)

The kind sales guy at Footlocker said "all the women" (apparently except me) shop the kids section for sneakers, which now makes total sense. I saw the cutest Blundstones in grey in the kids section in another store, but DD was having no part of it and threatened to leave if I even touched them.

Lisap you look great in this! I didn't realise it was the cardi that "made" the outfit so stylish, but now that someone has pointed it out, of course it is! How great of you to just *know* that. Wonderful.

Oooh, great outfit. The subdued tones give it more of a streetwear vibe, to me (rather than a workout look). It looks super chic and sporty. Great find on those sneaks in the kids' department.
