WIW 8-29: Lace and leather and spikes

Feel free to say whatever you like. This looks better IRL in my opinion, but you may spot something I missed!

- Theory white knit jacket
- MSGM lace tank over ParkVogel cami
- AG crop Stevies
- Coclico fisherman sandals in very dark blue. They are new and I have blisters.

I am also wearing some tough necklaces which you may or may not be able to see. One is a handmade chain of large round silver links. The other is an Elizabeth and James thorn necklace, looped twice for extra spikes.

Well, to be perfectly honest...
I love this outfit! That lace tank looks so good with the jacket, and the jeans show off your toned figure.
Too bad about the blisters from the shoes! They are seriously cute, but
I wonder if lighter colored shoes would look good to bookend the light top?

I really, really like this!! I like how the crisp white jacket plays against the femininity of the lace, and then how the lace plays with the toughness of the necklaces. Too bad on the blisters, though

OK, wow. I agree with Angie - my favorite outfit of yours! I love the proportions and the soft/tough combo which make the whole thing balanced. And the different textures with the white... Wow.

I really love this outfit, IK. I love how fitted the pants are, and how the top provides both structure and looseness. It's beautifully draped on your frame. And love those shoes. This is a total keeper. Absolutely love. Wish I could see the thorn necklace, tho.

I really like this outfit. I think it is one of my all time favorites you have posted. I like all of the juxtaposition, both in textures and in colors.

Sad about the shoes causing blisters. I can't remember what else is in your closet, but perhaps some pointy toed flats for more juxtaposition? Or maybe ones with studs on them?

Love everything about this outfit, so cool. Maybe some BodyGide or something similar will help preventing blisters next time you wear those shoes.

I think you are a gifted stylist IK. The lace top is a surprise (to me) and never would i think of that is 'your style' but it is! Really nice juxtapositions in this outfit and it's totally you. The tough jewellery against the soft feminine top works so well. I think you look fab.

Fabulous outfit -- I love everything except the fact that your feet hurt. I am commiserating -- I gave myself a big blister the other night walking far in a pair of shoes that needed body glide (and forgot that body glide...).

I love the lace with the denim. Texturally rich.

Cool combo. I like it as is but here are a couple of ideas if you wanted to rewear it differently. A navy cami under the lace... Would that work? How about light or bright sandals or shoes?

I think the jeans are a great fit on you and this look has some 1980s features that are appealing to me. I had some similar sandals in 1985 that I wore with a lacy shirt in a Madonna copycat. Yours is much much cooler than my version.

Curious as to why so many of you would wear lighter footwear; I like the way the dark shoes continue the line of the dark pants. To me it looks more unified than wearing lighter shoes.

I'm a fan of the dark footwear with this outfit, BTW. Hoping the blister problem is very short-lived.
