WIW 6/16 and 6/17 with nude shoe shoutout to modgrl

Argh! The forum just ate my post and now I'm late for work! I'll put the photos up again and re-post the details when I get to the office!

Ahem. Okay, I'm here and settled in for what I hope will be a quiet Friday at work!

Yesterday was nice and sunny so I busted out my beloved plaid Trina Turk blazer. Usually I wear this with my pink Kate Spade pumps but I was inspired by modgrl's rocking the nude shoes this week so I wore my Franco Sarto's and was really happy with how it turned out. This was also the first time I'd worn a necklace with this jacket and although it's a lot going on I think it worked.

Navy pinstripe pencil skirt: hand-me-down from my BFF

Nude non-flatform sandals: Franco Sarto

Today it's cool and RAINING (!) so I am in bundle-up-a-little mode. I showed the under-layer because I am really digging the sports-bra-as-cami look for questionable-for-the-office necklines. I also like that extra pop of black to tie in the black pants. And although the photo looks kind of red and cobalt, this outfit is really magenta and teal!

Stunning as always MaryK. Thanks for pics 2 and 3. I would have felt put together in pic 2 and maybe thrown on a black jacket/cardigan but you showing us pic 3 is a great learning tool. Superb as always, sorry your post got eaten. Hope the day continues along without bumps.

And I ALWAYS give a tip of the hat to you when I wear pearls! Plus, OMG you are so in my head! Yesterday I was all "hmmm... Should I wear the off-white patent leather pumps to bookend the pearls?" LOL Angie-speak, anyone?

Wow, I think I actually like that plaid blazer with the nude shoes more than with the pink one's. The pink tie in the blazer but the nude let the blazer's colors really shine on their own. Nice remix! Sports bra instead of a cami huh, hmm, I had not thought of this. But are the ahem "girls" squished all day then? (or maybe it's just because mine are high impact for running). And I am happy to see a scarf, I have one on today (it's 80F) and people are in a tizzy that I am wearing a scarf.

Lisa, it's the Moving Comfort "Maia" and it doesn't squish the girls at all. It's an underwire and it comes in actual cup sizes, then it has a cami-like layer over the whole thing. Inspiring color palettes as usual, love both outfits! I'm with Lisa, having the nude shoes in #1 really lets the jacket SHINE and I don't find the pearls too busy at all (actually dig the shine they give). #2 is a fantastic visual for how much killer accessories can amp up an otherwise simple outfit. LOVE the magenta+red+blue+green going on here, very cool colorblocking (red->fuchsia->blue->green, all secondary colors next to each other on the color wheel, clever!).

As usually MaryK is killing us all with her colorful fabness! I do not think that it is too much going all in #1, pearls look splendidly with that jacket and nude shoes let the jacket shine even more.
#2-3 is simply such a gorgeous color combination I cannot stand it! Looks like you just need to add some yellow and you are all ready for that Ornela's CYMK challenge!:-)

Ah, I never get tired of seeing your lovely looks. I remember so many of the pieces and yet you always remix them in new and fun ways. Loving the nude shoes and the scarf in #2... I especially like the bright colors on a rainy day (thought of you this am as I donned my bright citron dress to go out in the gloom).
