WIW 5/9, 5/10, 5/11: More bright colors, more midi madness

The weather has been cooler so I've been able to do some layering before the warm weather hits!

1/2: Monday I wore the outfit I had planned for Friday.
Espresso pants: Halogen

3/4: Tuesday I was going to be interviewing a little girl so I thought some brights would be fun!
Red tiger stripe sleeveless cowl top: Swap

Black/white/red pinstripe pants: Consignment
Black/white flat oxfords: Target
Black bag: Coach via swap

5/6: Today I am all about the sexy secretary, and Angie, this midi's for you! I think the jacket and blouse are getting a little big but I think they still work.

A great set of looks, #1 is my favorite of the group but I think that's because I am a sucker for pastels in spring time. Nice idea to pair brights for interviewing a child, I bet she wasn't scared. The blazer in #5 looks a tad boxy, especially when comparing to the fit and shape of #1.

Girl X, I didn't get the whole week planned out but I had Monday left over from Friday, I planned Tuesday on Sunday, and planned today's last night. There is really no substitute for trying stuff on to make sure it works! I'm going to try and do Thursday and Friday tonight.

Digging all the blue and red! (big surprise, eh? LOVE your scarf in #1, LOVE the turquoise earrings paired with the red in #2 (and the too-cool-for-school shades paired with the gangster pinstripes and oxfords), and LOVE the blouse and dark gray heels in #3!! Great midi in #3 too, I like that length a lot.

I really love your style -- I always like everything you show us, and feel like I could wear any of your outfits happily. (Where do you live -- it would be fun to participate in a swap with you! I'm in the DC area) I particularly like #1, and 5/6. Very very classy. Like the gray bag - I'm digging that shape on a bag lately.

I have got to start posting photos....no one is ever available to shoot snaps of me when I have a good outfit on, it seems. My husband gave it a try at DCA today when I took him to the airport - he was very complimentary of my YLF-inspired outfit, including my Hidden Hills jeans and my Brooks Bro no-iron fitted blouse!

Laurie, I'm here by myself most of the time (DS in the Marines, DH travels on business), so I learned how to use the self-timer on my camera! Super easy and voila! I'm in business! Give it a try!!
