Today was a day of laundry and errands normally I would wear sweats or an over sized tee & jeans but with the promise I made to myself to post what I wear everyday for awhile it gave me the motivation to try out a new top (I think that it is suppose to be a dress) that I just got yesterday at Target for $4 it came with 2 flower pins in the same striped fabric as the shirt. I figure that if nothing else the pins are worth the money hehe...

The last pic is of the pins they are 2 separate pins I thought they were kind of cute what do you think?

What do you think does the top work or are the stripes too contrasting for my figure?

CUTE!! I think you look great. I love me a nice horizontal stripe, and I agree it was totally worth it just for the pins! The fact that the top looks great is a bonus! I'd belt it, though, if I wanted to wear it without a jacket or other topper. It seems a little bunchy-uppy around the waist otherwise.

Oh dear; that's not a dress... I hope! I love love love it as a top; it looks very flattering on you!

I have done that before - bought things on sale for the accessories and then end up loving the top! I think that the striped flower pins would look great with a solid jacket too!

I think you could wear that with a pair of white jeans or skinny capris too. I like the stripes with the navy top over very much.

Do you feel better that you dressed up a bit instead of wearing an oversized t?

Thanks MaryK- I agree that it was a bit bunchy with out the sweater I think that is because it is twice that length but I hitched it up some.

Thanks so much lyn I love spending so little and ending up with something that will be a work horse for me! Maybe it's not a dress but a tunic or something the length is 2 times what the pic shows I hiked it up a lot. I was thinking the same thing with the pins they would be great to add a pop of color to a jacket

dianthus- I do feel much better dressing up a bit and actually putting on makeup etc in the long run it is worth the extra few mins to put some thought into what I wear on the weekends.
