The "Metropolis" poster looked yellow to me, so I used the color as my inspiration. I really struggled with the blouse until I hit on my new J Crew silk blouse with the ombre polka-dots. I love how it goes from darker at the top to lighter at the bottom, like the poster. The round pendant is a nod to the robot's head, and also it looks reminiscent of the era of the film. You can't see it very well in the photo, but my bag is shiny silver, like I imagine the robot to be.
