WIW 3/29: Loving my outfit in lime and gray

I got the idea for this outfit from Aida's post about pairing a neutral like gray or taupe with a bright trendy color. I started out with something completely different and then this outfit just kind of built itself. I think the magic happened when I realized that last year's Talbots knit top made kind of a not-quite-a-twinset with the new GAP blazer! Big fun!!

Light gray flared pants: YLF swap

Gray/white checked scarf: Amazon Marketplace

No wonder you were loving it! That is so cool! It's an upside down "Angie bright pants" formula! And I can definitely trace Aida's influence with that scarf and the sassy attitude. Fun "twinset."

FINally, we get to see what made you feel so fab all day! I love that sour green, it's making my mouth water (green apple Jolly Ranchers anyone?). I love those square tasseled scarves and the flowing grey pants are so dramatic with your Jessica Simpsons. Nice!

I have never thought of pairing grey with lime green and yet it is so fabulous together! No wonder you wanted to put your hand up today!

Very fresh and bright combo so I can understand wy you were invigorated by it today. I love those Gap ponte blazers (nearly bought the green but I didn't see how I would work it in to my closet - now i might have to reconsider) and have them in three colors. So comfortable, it is like wearing a cardi. I like the tone on tone pairing.

I can't imagine wearing such bright colours myself, but you make me want to! I love the combination of apple/lime with gray - it's another one of those great juxtapositions. You've got the business-like looking gray pants and bag, but topped off with a *delicious* spring-y, bright and fresh green colour...it looks great on you!

In my neck of the woods, we'd call that parrot green or new-leaf green, but hey, an apple by any name...! LOVE this look, Mary K --- so fresh and such a *clever* little twin-set.

Ooohh! Love this color on you! Claire was spot on with the Jolly Rancher apple green! I can't believe the sweater and blazer didn't come as a set--they are that perfect together! And the pairing with grey is so perfect! Love times a million! No wonder you felt so fab today--you radiate style!
