WIW 22/3/12 Snake in the Garden plus Report Report

My quiet version of pattern mixing...snake print scarf with floral print sweater. The sweater and scarf came off later in the day when the fog burned off.

I wore the Report booties and walked 50 city blocks in them. I am ready to put them on again for a bit more walking. Legs were a bit tired but no foot damage.

Apologies for the computer bag that I forgot to move.

Everyone should have a pair of those Report booties! Rae, I think they would be fab for you! And so glad to hear, Jj and Vicki, that you're ordering! They are amazing. I wore them for another 15 blocks tonight no problem. I guess I should add the information that I am neither a flats girl or a heels girl, as a rule. My ideal would be 1.5 inch heels, maybe? The Report booties are higher, more like 2.5, and I do just fine in those. I have a pair of flat sandals with me (willl probably wear for a while tomorrow) and also a pair of walking shoes that I might pull out in a pinch...but truthfully, I'm feel so happy with those boots! Angie REALLY knows what she is talking about.

Thank you for all your sweet words about the outfit. I am not crazy about the sight of my bare white legs and arms but what can you do? Such is the colour of my skin. Having said that, I am happy to take compliments, Shannon. <wink> I worked hard for those little muscles! The arms didn't look quite like that two years ago.

We are having SUCH a great time. Hubby's presentations went well and we had a lovely visit with his co-author in New Haven. (She is a wonderful person and his best friend apart from me, so it was good to spend time with her.) We got to the city today, driving from New Haven, and it was so beautiful that we decided to do nothing but walk around Central Park! Cherry blossoms, magnolias, daffodils. I'll try to take some decent pics tomorrow.

(PS: Thanks to your title, I have added another reason to the list of 'Why I LOVE YLF' --- the insight into how people think about the individual pieces and combinations of their closet, whether from a metaphoric image like this or because of the invisible resonances to other parts of their lifestyle or persona, is so fascinating to me. Especially as I'm a pretty emotional dresser myself.)
