I told Isis that I'd post photos of how I dressed up and dressed down my Eliza J shift dress at the Seattle-area YLF meetup earlier this month. Unfortunately, I dashed off to vacation after replying on that thread -- better late than never, I guess.

Reposting my earlier description: "I actually wore the eggplant version of the Eliza J to Saturday's YLF meetup, dressed down. It's quite easy to dress down, because it's so simple! It's an above-the-knee dress for me too, so I paired it with straight-legged jeans (can't seem to wrap my head around skinnies yet), low heels, a small pendant necklace (I'm an IT, so I like drawing vertical lines on my body), and a stack of bangles.

After the YLF meetup, I went straight to a friend's casual wedding (which was literally next door to the meetup, how lucky was that?). I ditched the pendant, added a few more bangles, and ditched the jeans in favor of textured hose."

You can't see the texture in this grainy photo, but the hose is a very very small fishnet. To ensure absolutely no eyebrows would be raised at the wedding, I layered an almost-sheer black pair of hose underneath the fishnets too.
