WIW 1/30: Day 1 of adjacent colors week with new GAP jacket!

I am a little behind on this, but I was so taken with Aida's week of adjacent colors that I decided to try it myself, and how better to kick things off than with my new bright green blazer from the GAP! I saw it while shopping last week with CocoLion and the gang, but they didn't have my size. So I jumped online and ordered two sizes I thought might work, and one of them did! Yay!

Turns out I have four colors in a row going on here if you count the belt and the blazer as two different greens! It's FIVE in a row if you count the lighter blue in the scarf! And then the scarf has some across-the-wheel complementary color action going on with the red flowers. Big fun!

At work today one of the staffers who sometimes works in my area said "I love your colorful outfit! You wear so much color and you always so bright and cheerful!" I was very pleased!

P.S. I got the color wheel chart from this introduction to color theory, which is simple enough even for me to kind of understand!

Oh, that IS big fun Mary! I love all of this bright, saturated color on you. This is a very sophisticated color grouping and I just lurve it! BTW what color are your eyes? Do they change slightly depending on what you wear?

This outfit is AWESOME! I love how you mixed these colors together... for sure if I was a co-worker I would say the same thing, definitely fabulous, probably to match your personality

I LOVE the green belt, and I think it's great how easy it is to change up the entire look by just switching the color of it. I would also try doing a yellow, a fuchsia and a red... all of them would work it seems to change up the look.

Claire, my eyes are kinda hazel -- sometimes they look very blue and other times more greenish, depending on what I'm wearing. I'm afraid I've got a little red-eye going on in these photos!

aLaMoDe, I bought this belt in, like, five colors plus three metallics from this seller on Amazon. Super cheap, super cute, super fun to have on hand for situations such as this!

I've been looking for those colors in genuine leather, but 1) belts can add up really quickly and 2) it's so hard to find these colors in stores... What a super idea! I love your execution and am glad you got the Gap jacket, I think you'll get a lot of wear out of it. It will look great with navy and white but also pink if you want to go business bombshell prep.
