WIW 11/16: Blogger Copycat Challenge, Day 5 - Cobalt/leather/peplum

I was so excited to copy this look from Allie at Wardrobe Oxygen, and I'm happy with how it turned out, but honestly, I think her version wins the prize! I wanted to wear this fab new black cowl-neck top from the consignment store with the leather tank, and I'm happy with the neckline, but I do think long sleeves would have been better! And because it's for the office and I have a meeting today, I had to add a jacket. (Which I quite like, actually!)

Wow. What a stunning outfit, on both of you!! The proportions just flatter Allie so well. No wonder you were inspired. And what a great chance to wear your peplum! It looks terrific on you with the blue skirt. I really like it with the jacket, too.

I adore cobalt and black together and it's outfits like this that keep me lovin' it. I realize you have to keep the jacket on for work but hope you take it off the moment you head out the door so you can show off your gorgeous self in that leather peplum top.

I never used to like peplums. I definitely have to rethink that.

With the jacket the cowl neck works. I'm not so sure without the jacket. It's like fluffy neckline plus fluffy waist line is a lot of fluff. The jacket reigns it all in. Pretty spot on interpretation though.

I can see why you liked Allison's outfit, it is truly fab, in itself and on her in particular. Your interpretation is spot on, and I really love the peplum tank. I think I would prefer it sans jersey top, but with jacket when necessary. The colors are incredible. You look incredibly stylish as always.

I really like the jacket version, wow! Without it I see what Anna sees; maybe if the lower layer's sleeves were at least elbow length? It actually took me a good minute to realize you'd put a cowl top underneath (I'm slow). Which then lead me to thinking... Do you have any sheer dark colored sleeved blouses? I bet that would be SUPER fun with this peplum+pencil silhouette. I've enjoyed watching (and participating for my two days) in the challenge this week! The version with the jacket looks amazing. Black and cobalt is a bit of a favourite so this is making my heart flutter Mary this has been a wonderful challenge to spectate, unfortunately i just didn't have the energy to participate but I have been wonderfully inspired by everyone's outfits this week.
