WIW 11/12 and Keep or Return Booties

1. I am so in love with my white skirt I want to wear it every day! I enjoyed the leopard Fauxkala pumps with the not-quite-matching "white tiger" calf hair belt.

White skirt: Zara
Polka dot silk top: J Crew
Belt: Talbots
Red blazer: H&M
Ankle strap pumps: Steven by Steve Madden
Colorblock tote: Vince Camuto
"Pearls:" J Crew

2-5. Now... what do you think about these black Via Spiga booties that arrived today? They are ridiculously comfy and I like the asymmetrical "neckline," I think. What do you all think? Do they fit closely enough around the ankles? This is a lot of money for me so I need them to be great. What say you? Y = Keep, N = Return and keep looking.

Love it all! Yay for the heels. They look great. The fact that they are assymetrical seems to help the look of the fit.

I like them a lot. I think black high vamp booties can be very leg-shortening, but somehow the asymmetry gives them a lengthening look instead.

LOVE your outfit, and I love the booties except they make you look like you supinate. From the side they are striking and fab, but from the front it looks like your feet are rolling outward.

I agree with Echo--I find the asymmetrical cut on the booties distracting. I do think that they make you look shorter too--although it could be because they are paired with a below-the-knee skirt. I think Angie has said that it is difficult to wear ankle booties with skirts that hit below the knee unless you are very tall. Sorry! :^(

I love your outfit! That white skirt always makes me skip a beat! And the red with pearls is just stunning. I like the boots and they seem to fit well. But I am not sure if the front view bothers you. I had a similar pair of booties which were so weird from the front that I always got confused which shoe went on which leg o_O if not for the side details on the shoes! I ultimately purged them.

I like the booties. How would you wear them, with skirts? What shape or length? Pants? To be honest, I'm not crazy about them with the white skirt (I prefer the ankle strap heels).

I only showed them with the white skirt because that's what I had on. I'm thinking pencil skirts, ankle pants, jeans.

The boots are beautiful. They almost look a little big, like there's a little too much extra space around the top....but maybe I'm just being overly picky for you. I bought some via spiga's at NAS and they are ridiculously comfortable.

Beautiful outfit! I like the booties from the side as the cut out shows off you ankle bone but I am not like them from the front view as much. I do think they fit close enough around your ankles.

Rae, you're blanking on my bootie collection because I have no bootie collection. I have the awesome espresso Bronx booties and the Seychelles nude shooties, and that's basically it. I really think I have a "dressy black booties" wardrobe hole.

Keep the booties, I love them. I used to have something similar by Enzo Angliolini and I wore them to the ground.

Love every outfit that you wear with that white skirt! You look great! I also like the booties - but I have the same "problem" with them that others have mentioned - from the front, it looks like you have a serious supination issue! It's because of the cut-out assymetrical part of the top of the bootie - unless your feet really do supinate that much, and I've just never noticed it before????

Sorry, not in love with the booties either. For the same reasons as others... The first thing I noticed was the ankle rolling out illusion. Which is too bad, because otherwise they are great.

The booties are beautiful! I know what you mean about the wide ankle, but it only looks that way to you--that is just the way those types of boots are cut, they have a very low neckline (like these Clarks). As long as you are wearing pantyhose or knee-his or tights so that we don't see your skin, its perfect. They are super cute, and I wouldn't take them back ESPECIALLY if they are super comfy! I think you'll wear them for years to come. Enjoy!

They look as if they might be loose on the sides. Are they? Maybe we need to see them styled as you would wear them (if you have any doubts, that is). It sounds as if they are great for comfort, so that is step one .And step two...well..you need booties!

Love that white skirt, too, by the way.

ETA: chuckling to myself because your bootie collection sort of matches my pump collection. If we traded locations we'd just have to trade closets!

As booties go these fit your style to me. The asymmetrical ankle makes them ladylike and most similar to the pumps you usually wear, but with the bootie coverage. I vote keep.
I also love the white skirt outfit!
