WIW 0709: A Tribute to Angie (bonus sporty luxe goth edition!)

Happy birthday, Angie!

As tribute to the amazingness that you are, I decided to do a white-on-white outfit. Oddly enough, when I checked the blog hours after deciding the outfit, You had a white-on-white birthday post too!

I hope you had a wonderful day, Angie, and thanks again for being such an inspiration!

This outfit I'm wearing is special aside from channeling Angie the zebra top is similar to the top Diana has. The vest is exactly the same as Shannon's. So yes - this outfit is, in a way, my tribute to YLF as well!

Oh and because I like to dream and "try on" (*sniffle*) those gorgeous slouchy EF pants (I should just buy it already!!!!), I was at The Bay again, confirming to see if it's worthwhile getting EF jeans. Sadly, EF jeans do not work on me - and neither do all other higher end brands! Well instead of feeling sad about my jean situation, I decided to have fun and try on a pair of DKNY sweatpant capris and a slouchy William Rast studded top. If I were doing sporty luxe, it would be gothed out like this :p

Both outfits are wonderful, but I particularly love the black on you! There is something about all of it together and the proportions of the pants that I think is so great. I'm not really good at putting a finger on exactly what works and why with things, but I just know "it" when I see it!

@SarahTheWhite: funny thing is, those DKNY sweatpants had the weirdest looking crotch. And it was so "sweatpants-like" but it worked so well that even I thought about buying it! But because the "slouchy pants" spot is reserved for the EF pants, I withheld. I think I should consider silk "sweatpant" capris instead of this traditional sweatpant fabrication. I'm waiting on the top to go on sale - can't justify paying $70 for it.

But yes - I love all black outfits. They make me feel goooood!

Thanks Neel! Haha I should've purchased both items in #2 then but hesitated over the sweatpants because it was too... Sweatpants. Not luxe enough lol!

And I used to dress goth and it was my design aesthetic back in fashion school I was more into Victoriana then though!
