Thank you ladies!
Modgrl - I can certainly set those two up on a date for the next sunny day, thanks for the idea!
Rae - Hehe yeah the green coat is my raincoat, but I only wear it a handful of times a year even though we get rain all the time; I think growing up in Seattle has given me an unnatural aversion to wearing a raincoat
Scarlet - I think you're on to something there. Hoping to get a table to set up my sewing machine on soon, I should learn to do this jean hem myself as well.
Tarzy - Pff who could be upset with such a thoughtful post! I thank you for writing out your thoughts and for being honest. You touched on something that is indeed a concern of mine, looking overly harsh since, as you said, I've already got strong coloring. I don't mind looking a little harsh, it kind of comes with that punky territory, but I definitely want to find the right balance (which is part of why I wasn't sure how well I could marry the punk-thing with the Euro-style-chic-thing, they have such different vibes). #1 was actually one of my favorites this week and I'm glad it's going over so well! I think instead of trying to squeeze all the elements I love into every outfit, I'm fine incorporating only one or two at a time; after all I do enjoy having a lot of variation in my day-to-day outfits. I will have to think on the natural colors though; I'm generally drawn to bolder, brighter non-earthy shades. Bright and clear I can do though
Girl X - I've been slowly learning how great a topper can be! A great structured jacket can totally make an outfit. My collection could use expanding since I'm starting to wear them more; I wore most of the ones I have this week hehe
