WIW -my challenge - YouLookFab Forum

Responding to Carter and El Cee ( and others) I am trying to wear my accessories and lipstick.

HEre are two casual looks from Friday and Saturday.

Look 1 worn to visit a building site. I added red lipstick, a mustard scarf and a large fun ring. I am a little over these skinny jeans and I think will out them away for the summer to see how I feel about them next autumn.

Look 2 worn to a large casual family reunion with 50 cousins, second cousins, aunts, uncles etc.. A new top which has a merino middle and cotton sleeves. Worn with black crops and sneakers - added red lipstick again, a gold necklace and earrings. Sorry about the lighting.

Sadly today I am in bed with a virus so no pics.

The challenge has helped me refocus my efforts which have been in a rut for the end of winter, early spring.

EL Cee - I did enjoy the event but was fading at the end when I realised I was coming down with a bug.

SHevia- I need to wear red more, it does make me happy.

Thanks Suz, my Mum is one of five, then those five have all had two - four children (my generation), then it goes on.... There were 14 who could not make it and about 54 there!! A lovely bunch though:)

Brooklyn, I love mustard with red lipstick. I have been in an end of winter rut with exercising and clothing and needed to get myself inspired. Amazing how wearing simple earrings can lift your polish!!

Cannot live without my red lippy and some streamlined but strong accessories:) You look so good. Both outfits look great and the lipstick does truly elevate and create that touch of polish without being over the top. Take care of yourself. I have been battling a virus for weeks, this winter has been a tough one health wise.

You look amazing. I think lipstick makes such a huge difference in our appearance. I immediately feel elevated when I remember to put it on. Do you have any issues with lipstick drying your lips?

My favorite of the two outfits was the second. It looked "put together," yet relaxed and comfortable. Perfect for the situation. I also adored the red lip with the mustard scarf.

Love both looks! I too like to wear red and mustard in small doses (not together) and have never worn red Lipitor at least not in recent memory. This inspires me to try it...

Love that gold scarf and you look great with the red lipstick. I tend to forget lipstick but it does make a difference.

Sounds like a fun family get together. My husband and I are both from large families as well, in fact he is one of nine and the immediate family is about 50. Keeps life interesting!

Those skinnies look great on you. I keep saying I want to give up skinny jeans but they are so darn handy and you can wear with flats and sneakers..
