WIW- Anthro blue dress

The other day I went to a concert in a vineyard and I wore this outfit. I checked the weather report and found out that it was going to be cooler than expected. So I threw a shirt underneath it and wore it with stockings and high black boots. The boots didn't really go with it but those were the only high black boots that I had... With my mustard boots I would've felt like a piñata.

I have a serious case of RBF in this photos, haha, but I had a lot of fun!

What do you think? How would you wear this dress?

I like it, perfect for concerts, with or without the ballet top. Very boho-costumey and over the top, calling for massive amounts of Indian -from- India jewelry, don't you think?

That is your dress--looks made for you ! Yes, it is perfect on its own, but does really seem to be one of those dresses you can do some season-spanning with and not look weird, so that it may have a longer lifespan. I think it is the dark colors which can do that but still look perfectly summery on you with your high-contrast coloring.

Olivegreen, Do you really think it looks costumey? I didn’t think so. But I like your idea of lots of jewellery… I’ll skip the belt if I do so (to avoid the piñata syndrome).

unfrumped, Oh, thank you. It is one of those garments that make me feel very “me”. It’s confortable and flattering. Interesting observations.

Sara L. First I thought about wearing a black cardigan on top but I didn't like that it hide the structure. And I look bulky easily.

Wow, thanks a lot!

I forgot to add that this was the first time that I used fashion tape. I taped the neck of the top to the neck of the dress so it wouldn't move so much and be out of place (the black top is almost off-the shoulder). It worked.

Clever idea to put that top underneath it. It doesn't spoil it at all. Anthropologie has such nice things. This dress looks very good on you.
And I wouldn't mind black boots with it.

I love this dress on you; it works extremely pretty with your coloring. It's better on you than on the model. I like the top underneath it. It keeps the sexy neckline but gives the outfit a cool weather edge.
