Not sure how successful this is, but I'll post it.

Inspired by the ladies who are sporting dresses and skirts in subzero temps, I thought I'd break out an orphaned skirt today. Inspired by Mary's fab cobalt & black ensemble, I chose a cobalt skirt.

Skirts are hard for me. I think I look best in lengths that at least hit the knee, and not many do these days. They tend to make me feel like I look chopped up and squat in photos (even though I think they look better in the mirror), so I go low-contrast.

I wanted to keep it casual so I chose a sporty knit top that was not so long -- the proportion of a longer top with the skirt looked really awful. Added the denim jacket, fleece-lined tights, and tall boots for warmth.

I dunno. What do you all think? Honest and even brutal opinions welcome.
