#1/2 - I was inspired by Suz's outfit lab post yesterday to layer a button down under a short sweater with skinnies. I know her post was about a failed outfit but I really liked it. My sweater isn't really cropped like hers was. I tried it alone with the jeans but didn't like it that much. I prefer it layered over the longer white shirt with the skinny jeans. It would probably look fine with bootcuts but all my bootcut jeans need to be re-hemmed for shorter heels.
#3/4 - My sister gave me this fabulous necklace for Christmas. I wore it with this new thrifted black sweater. The black points of the necklace don't show up well against the sweater so I'm excited to wear it again with a lighter colored top. (DH never tells me when my outfits are rumpled).
#5 - Brown and black.
#6 - Brown cowboy-ish boots. I love skinnies and tall boots but sometimes I get a little sick of wearing my tall boots all the time. These are different enough that they keep me from getting bored.
