Oh my goodness, I am about to have a meltdown. This is the third time I am typing this up because somehow I keep losing it. Maybe that is a sign that we are not supposed to post boring stuff after all, lol.

I posted earlier that none of us seem to post our boring, everyday stuff. So! Enough of my whining. I am posting a very boring work outfit. On Wednesday's I get to wear jeans and a work tee.

The tee is from our dance program. The jeans are not my favorite. they are straight leg and I look much better in bootcut, but they were a gift and are the right length so I will wear them. The shoes are plaid and fun and the jacket matches the blue in the shoes since I don't have much yellow to go with the tee.

I don't think it is boring! I love the vibrant shade of blue on you and the shoes are fun the sleeves on the jacket look a tad long though, could you scrunch them up?

I feel your pain on the posting and then deleting - that does happen occasionally! Good for you on following through If I get over my migraine and out of lounge clothes I will post today.

It's nice to be able to wear jeans to work and to pair with fun shoes. I am not a big fan of wearing those type of t's (mainly because the mens cut they always seem to come in is so overwhelming for us) but i understand the team spirit that your workplace is trying to promote.

What kinds of things do you normally wear to work?

Not sure if you are looking for suggestions or just would like to share. If I may, I found that even in my most casual of items, fit makes a huge difference. A simple tee and jean when they fit in the shoulders, right pant length, etc etc not only makes ones figure look better, but somehow makes the outfit itself more pulled together, you know? That said, glad you posted your everyday look for us! Goodness knows there is a whole lot more tee and jean wearing going on behind the scenes that we just don't see!!

As I said in your other post, your fab colors are never boring! I think you did a good job here of working within a uniform-like situation with the shirt from your dance program. Your instincts that a bootcut jean with a fitted knee break would probably add some sleekness are probably right, but the blue jacket brings the attention upward, too.

If you don't mind a little input...Jeans and Tshirt is perfectly fine outfit but what would make all the difference in the world is the fit. As Rae said, I think bootcut jeans would be great on you and even if you wear tennis shoes(as my close friend who is SAHM does all the time)these can still be stylish. She wears Converse sneakers which add a bit more funk to her everyday jeans and usually a cute top(she has 3 small kids so believe me her hands are full). Also, same for Tshirt-a simple Tshirt that is more tailored to your body would make all the difference. One of my friends who has simular body type as you(and large chest to boot)always used to wear baggy shirts in order to fit her chest. After she stopped doing that and started wearing tops that were a little more fitted to her figure(and I don't mean tight, just fitted), people actually thought she lost weight when in reality she just wore different style of clothes

That shade of blue in your hoodie is beautiful on you. About jeans, you can always do a darker wash jean with it too. If the tee is a requirement. I can picture myself in it paired with a black leather jacket, dark wash jeans, red converse and my hair up in a ponytail, just rocking t shirt Wednesday, like you do!

Yeah, Cheryl! Love the blue on you -- this is vibrant and fun, and I love the idea of scrunching the sleeves. I bought a pack of 6 Hanes men's v-necks last summer, and plan to wear them a lot. I like to roll the sleeves a couple of times -- you might try that and see if is works for you. Also, when I have larger tee, I sometimes gather it to the side, and secure with a hair tie. I fold the tie under and then allow the tee to blouse a little. Again, it might give you a little variety with a graphic tee.

I love how you're keeping it real, Cheryl. As has been reiterated numerous times, I agree that the fit makes a huge difference. I am thinking also that you're on the shorter side (as I am) and if that's so, it is really hard to find a t-shirt with sleeves that don't hang all the way down to the elbows. I think it can be done, though. Maybe something with cap sleeves? It's a challenge...that said, well-fitting clothes will make you look even cuter than you are already.

Kirti, i'm so short everything is long on me, lol. I do usually scrunch the sleeves except when i'm cold, haha.

christieanne, we used to have to wear black polos and khakis everyday, with one jean/tee day a week. Now we can wear casual type clothes. For me its usually a knit top, black twill pants and fun tennies.

Victoria, you are absolutely right on the tee fit issue, unfortunately all of our work tees are these unisex mens tees and not cute more fitted tee's. I do have a handful of cons as well as other fun tennies. Fun tennies are some of my favorite things!

CocoLion, thank you so much. I am short and quite hippy and I think the straight leg jeans just emphasize that. I think bootcuts make me look curvier and more shapely.
