All week I've been wearing my heaviest sweaters due to the cold Calgary temps, but today was supposed to be a teensy bit warmer so I took a chance with slightly lighter layers. Since I had neutrals up on top, I went with my burgundy cords. And then I felt the outfit needed a little bit of lightening up, so I added this silver belt (recent clearance purchase from JCrew).

I almost passed on this blouse because it's a little outside my usual style (usually tees/knits) and it's long enough on me that it really needs to be tucked. I don't usually tuck, but this blouse drapes so nicely that I thought I'd give it try after seeing that look work on so many people here. And it has very subtle polka-dots on it.

It was a little colder than expected today, but I wasn't freezing, so I'll call that a success. There are only so many days in a row I can wear thick turtlenecks before wanting to give up.

Comments or suggestions for improvement welcome.
