So, on this thread I asked for some help styling a beautifully colored cashmere cardi. http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/kt-any-hope

AJ gave me a great pin I tried to replicate:http://pinterest.com/pin/18225573462139254/

I wore dark trousers instead of dark wash jeans. My tonal top did not have embellishment, so I wore another cami underneath in a darker shade.

While I definately did NOT capture the cool chic of the woman in AJs pin, I at least learned I really like tonal combinations. Until YLF, I would have thought I didn't match.

I might try again with the sweater. It is so soft and comfy and I both love the color and feel like it is flattering.

Ha, your title made me giggle. Your outfit is not matronly in the least, no Barb in sight.

You look lovely in this color, your smile is contagious, and I adore the leopard flats mixed with the robin's egg blue. Nice touch having a matching wall handy!

You many not have actually replicated the pinned outfit, but you have definitely made the outfit 'yours'. Thistle the colours are lovely and the leopard flats are just so perfect here. Very chic.

I was totally expecting to see you wearing a faux pearl necklace when I read your thread title! LOL
This color is great on you and I love the tonal element! I'm wondering if you tried a necklace with it - instead of the darker cami underneath? - it might fill up some of the chest/neck space. I LOVE those shoes - you need to wear them all the time!

Very pretty! Thistle you wear a lot of camisoles for those deeper necklines, I bet you'd get some good use out of having a few with embellished tops. Say lace, or beads, or sequins etc. They could add some punch to outfits without cluttering up necklines!

That said, you bear little resemblance, and you're missing the pearls! I love the footwear and the soft, on trend color.

I could see this with light bottoms, too. I think you could wear them really well, but I wouldn't have dared until my kids were school aged --- I so understand the "little fingers" years!
