Yes, I had a failure this morning. Last night as I fell asleep this outfit looked really good in my head. After I saw the picture, I went and changed before heading to work. Maybe the migraine was developing as I fell asleep, at least that will be my story.

I like all the pieces -- maybe this is too much lack of structure for you? I know I would feel better with either the voluminous pants OR the cardigan, but I know my tolerance for volume is not high.

I think the outfit you came up with is pretty cute. But, maybe it need a bit more structure.

Actually, these are fashion forward catwalk proportions, and my thumbs are up. It works.

Your culottes are at the right length. The self-colour ankle straps on the booties extend the line of the leg. And the very unstructured top half is pretty avant-garde. Nice bookending with the cami.

Well, I thought it was an edgy, cool look. I thought that style of pant is hard to wear, but the way you paired them with the very cool top and sandals makes them work. I questioned my judgment, though, till I read Angie's comment. Maybe it's just a little more of a full-on arty look than you usually wear?

Maybe it's just out of your comfort zone. I know it looks fab but I might not wear it out of the house, myself, either. I can be sensitive to looking different. Try it again on a high esteem day?

I'll echo Janet - I like the outfit and all the pieces, but perhaps combining one of the pieces with a more tailored other piece would feel less daring?

I love this & would wear it as is, but if it doesn't feel like you then I like the idea of less volume in either the top or bottom.

I really like it, but it does seem like the thing you have to really be feeling or risk the outfit wearing you. The booties are to die for.

Exactly as Angie said - these look like the kind of culottes that are being shown now. I actually have a pair of wide pants I plan to take to the tailor today and this is the length I want. As a matter of fact I love your whole outfit and would wear it happily!

I think it's a cool, fashion forward look too, but I suspect you were feeling the need for a little more structure? I'm in Janet's camp about volume, so I would have used either top or bottom, but not both.
