Which size Ella Moss moto to keep?

Last one! See, I wasn't kidding that I'm having size issues

The smaller size is fitted on the shoulders and through the arms (not as useful for layering, but the knit makes it possible), and somewhat fitted through the body. The larger size has extra room on the shoulders (the shoulder seam drops past the edge of my arms) as well as through the arms, and is loose through the body. Both sizes can be comfortably zipped up, and both sizes are comfortable since they're a soft knit. I like the pattern placement on the smaller size a LOT better (more white in the front!). Shown here over a fine-gauge turtleneck sweater; since it's not lined I probably would wear more in spring/summer over lighter tops, and this is about as thick as I'd go.

Ahh you gals are making me think I need to reexamine my body image sizing :\ I was leaning towards the larger size (same with the track pants). Guess I am smaller than my brain thinks (losing weight slooooooowly over 3 years will do that, I guess). Would still like more feedback if it's out there!

I think I prefer the larger size in terms of fit (I am favoring a looser jacket look right now, I guess), though if you hate the pattern placement that could be a deal breaker.

I am not going to analyze the fit but rather say I gasped out loud at your gorgeousness in the first picture, so naturally I think that one fits well!

First of all, the jacket looks stunning on you Aida and I absolutely am swooning over the pairing of it with white. Just gorgeous!

I have a slight preference for the larger size - I like the way it has a bit of a softer drape to it.

I like the look of the bigger size from the back. It seems to drape better through the back upper shoulders. I can't really tell much of a difference from the front. It's awesome on you, Aida!

I prefer the larger size! By quite a bit. It's more modern - and is the epitome of "casual chic" to my eye. I do prefer looser fits though - as you know.

When in doubt like this I usually opt for the larger - esp. considering even a small amount of shrinkage, you don't want it to feel snug in a way that keeps you from wearing it often because it looks SO GREAT!

Thanks for the excellent feedback, ladies! I'm surprised to see significantly more votes for the smaller size (about 2/3) than the larger size (about 1/3). I actually prefer the larger size myself (the looser fit feels more modern), but the pattern placement does bug me a little especially since the smaller size's placement is so fantastic. Still, I think I'll be keeping the larger size on this, even with the pattern placement being a little less white-up-front than I'd prefer (something to be said for going to the store and rifling through the items to find just the right one!). I don't suppose anyone has an extra one of these with lots of white in front in a size small?

I like the larger size. The smaller looks like it pulls across e shoulders to me, and I like the overall fit of the larger better. It's a gorgeous jacket on you!
