Which outfit for Photo Exhibit tomorrow?

My brother has assembled a group of us to see the photography exhibit "Who Shot Rock & Roll" at the Annenberg Space for Photography tomorrow night (http://laist.com/2012/06/19/fi.....hp#photo-1) and there will be a Q&A with the first staff photographer for "Rolling Stone" Magazine and I can't wait to see it. I'll be taking my adorable nephew, Daniel, and I'll post photos soon. I was thinking about one of these two outfits. I really want to wear my new Fluevogs and put them together here with:

8-9 kcanshop copycat version (and sarah skirt, too!) J. Crew No. 2 paisley pencil skirt, Blue BR non-iron shirt, Benetton Jeans jacket, Fluevogs

I don't know why I feel like a few tomatoes may be thrown here, but do any of these look appropriate for the night? I can take it! Thanks for your assistance in helping me "dress" for the night! ^_^

I adore the outfit in pics #4 - 7. It looks stylish but comfortable, with some chic and trendy thrown in for good measure.

I much prefer 4-7. It's a great look. I think the black and denim looks "rock and roll" while the dress and shoes pull it back into more sophisticated territory. You look very cool! The first outfit looks a bit "sweet" for the occasion, to my eye and the last one looks more like a day outfit to me.

My goodness these shoes are stunners Vicki! I like all your ensembles (Atlantic Pacific fan here too) but my choice would be 4/5... its just flows beatifully.

It seems very much art gallery/photo exhibit to me. xD I think it looks fantastic as is, but I'd also like to see a blazer or some sort of non-denim jacket thrown over the dress too just cause I feel like that would complete the Jyoti-mind-vision of Vicki as cool cat photo exhibit insider. xD

I love 1-3! The Bebe jacket is so... mmmmm good, I desperately want one!

I love the way 1-3 is so fashion-forward. Yes there are Minnie references but it looks sophisticated and artistic.

I also love 4-7 both with black skinnies and with the cropped leggings. I can't decide which I like better, they are that good. This outfit is very cool, just like the first one, but it is a touch more subdued.

The final outfit is the most conservative. I like it, but I think you can push the fashion envelope a little more for this event.

I like the last outfit the best but that's because it's within *my* comfort zone. I have no idea what one would wear to an artistic event like this in the evening. So what I'm saying is: don't listen to me, and have a good time!

Vicki, I loved that top when I saw it on Atlantic-Pacific, and now you! But I've never ordered anything from Asos and I don't know how their sizing runs, so I didn't order it. Yours looks like it fits perfectly. Would you mind telling me how the size of this top runs for you compared to some place like J. Crew or Ann Taylor? I looked at the sizing chart, but I don't find those to be very reliable. Thank you!

Elder Minnie checking in! Thank you for your suggestions here as I was totally open and not sure. Initially, I thought of the first look, but thought it may be a tad too young or cutesy pour moi! But, I also thought "make it fun" and then I considered Angie's black and white dress with denim jacket and I love that look so much and got out my own bubble hem dress version, which has some jewels at the neckline. The neckline was my reservation, because I thought it may be too glammy-glam. But, the denim seems to tone it down.

Yes, the last look is bit more conservative and I just wore that to an outdoor graduation party.

These are my first Fluevog shoes and I LOVE THEM. They are the MOST comfortable shoes I own and I want to keep wearing them. So, they will be making their L.A. debut tonight and very happily so!

After seeing all the responses, I'm leaning a bit toward the #4-5 look. But, who knows what I'll do next. Denise, you would love this jacket. It's so comfortable (I bought an XS and I think Rae did as well). Ana, I emailed Blair at Atlantic-Pacific about the ASOS top and she said she was wearing a 2. I wasn't sure what to get, but since I'm small, but wear a 32D, I opted for the 4 and it fits well, although a bit snug in the chest area. I wouldn't have liked anything larger or smaller, if that helps. Plus, as you can see, I have a Wolford top layered underneath (must keep those arms of Minnie's out of the elements!).

Very spunky outfits! My fave is 8-9, but rock n' roll will embrace all of these.

And Denise, Vicki is correct; I also got the XS in the Bebe jacket. You would look fab in it!
