# 2 and 4 my favorites! 2- I love how you have the scarf styled here and and the outfit looks great, I like the jeans tucked in but was wondering if the jeans are skinny, that might help but I like this look, and # 4 looks so polished, love the red and gray together and the jeans looks perfect!

have to say I've seen better on you than #3- you're right, its bulky looking and the whole outfit just doesn't seem very defined and pulled together like most of your outfits are. but hey, we're all allowed an off day every once in a while

No, the jeans are not skinnies, but they are a straight leg on the slim side. I'll have to try again when my skinnies are clean.

Taylor - You're very sweet. I was feeling lackluster this week because it's been so cold...30's and 40's F (I know, I'm a cold weather cry baby!). I have some great outfits all lined up in my head, but the weather needs to get a bit warmer. Kimberly at Fab Finds Under 50 has a great February inspiration calendar so I'm hoping to get gussied up for most of Feb. Since I'm a SAHM, it's all too easy to say, "Oh I think I'll just stay in my sweats today." : )

Debora, thanks so much! I just discovered this winter how a trench and beret can be just as easy as sweats and a baseball cap but a hundred times better!!

You wear a beret like no other, AJ. Love it! Outfit #4 is KILLER. Do you wear other types of hats too? I hope so! You are a million percent adorable.

You'll look fabulous wearing boots over jeans but you need sleek jeans for the vibe. The ones you used in this pic are too baggy. Does that make sense?

Thanks for the scarf tying video link. I'm going to give it a try. It does offer a perfect alternative when I know the scarf isn't doing the trick for a look.

Yep, I understand what you're saying about the jeans and I will try again when my Old Navy skinnies are clean. (The ones in the photo are not my skinnies.)

mnsara, that was my favorite for the week. I really liked how the blue in the shirt went with the yellow. Plus I was smiling to myself all day how my necktie was really a belt.

I do really like this scarf tying trick. It stayes put and doesn't end up shifting and choking you like the old fold-and-put-through-loop method.

Claudia - I recently got that red trench and was surprised how happy it makes me on a cold dreary day!

Vani - I've seen berets or similar type shapes that have a bigger open weave and I think those would look cute in any fall/winter climate. I bet you could rock something like that if you thought mine looked too warm. Whenever I'm wearing my beret, more often than not I'm having a bad hair day! The beret allows me to just get on with my day already instead of figuring out how to get my frizz into shape. Hee-hee!!

Loving your outfits thanks sooo much for the link to the scarf tying it was the first thing i thought "how did she do that it looks fab". I love hats too i recently found a bowler type hat on sale and i had a trilby for xmas so i think just try loads on and see what suits you x

Oooh AJ, you were yellow like it's nobody's business. Absolutely stunning! I also love the cream shawl-neck cardigan and that red coat in the last picture is so beautiful.
(and is that a tie in the first picture, super!).

The "tie" is actually a fabric belt.

I am excited that most bright colors look good with my skintone. This spring I hope to make more use of that fact!
