What I wore - Kendra

These pictures are making me realize I need to get over my hatred of ironing. I look a little disheveled this morning.

I, too, have an aversion to ironing, so to me you don't look TOO disheveled. In fact, I really like the outfit/colors. However, button down shirts are the pits. There are two things I do to keep them from running wrinkled:
1. pull them out of the dryer ASAP, hang them on a hanger, and pop the collar. For some reason letting it cool with a popped collar allows me to lay it more crisply lately.
2. Iron just the collar and the placket (where the buttons are... I think that's the word). Maybe the hem, too. The rest will get wrinkled anyways as you sit and move, but having clean outer lines makes the inner lines less noticeable.

Kendra, I love the combination of the green cardigan with the purple shoes. The colors look great together with blue jeans and really work with your coloring.

RE: ironing, I'll admit that I sometimes opt for a lazy version of steaming wrinkles out of my clothes in between washes or when I'm in a hurry. I'll hang a blouse in the bathroom while I'm showering, and sometimes the steam/moisture is just enough where I don't have to iron - or else I don't have to iron quite as much.

Wow, great tips guys, thank you!!
I will definitely try those in the future. This is honestly why I only owe 2 maybe 3 button downs!

My dry cleaner loves me, because I love button-downs and hate ironing. :)

Kendra, I keep meaning to comment on these threads, but I have your blog in my Google Reader, and I usually see your outfit before I see your post here. Sorry! I do love the way you dress so appropriately for your figure, and I love seeing all the deals you find. Those purple shoes from Marshalls are adorable!

Believe it or not there actually isn't a cleaner in the town I live in! I couldn't believe it when I moved here a year ago. I could use a cleaner in the town I work in, but it's just so much effort and money. :) Enough excuses yet? :)

Also, thank you so much for the compliment! It's exciting to have someone following the blog :)
