As I am behind the computer, why not upload a couple of outfits? Who knows when I will have time again.
This vest (I would call it a spencer, but I gather that is not a correct word.; anyway it is sleeveless) is a detail of a Van Gogh painting. A man (not a woman) photographs the painting, designs a knitting pattern (the mere thought of that has me in awe) and then knits such a spencer. And he sells them on the Amsterdam (Noorder) market.
My husband fell in love with it. I wasn't so sure as I have an inverted triangle figure. So usually I try to make my waist look smaller and my hips a bit wider to balance my broad shoulders. And a spencer like this is a no-no in my book. But husband pressed on and even paid half of it. Which is why I am wearing it. Learned to love it.
(Gee my hair was cooperative that day. Never looked as good as this.)
