Hi, everyone! I've been away from YLF for a while, and Angie has reminded me that I owe you an update, so here goes.

Some of you might remember that I went to a wedding back home in Canada last month- I asked for your advice about my dress here, and accessories here. The whole trip ended up being fantastic- I got to see my family, lots of old friends, and (obviously) got to dress up!

Unfortunately, I don't have any great photos from the night. My own camera conked out so I've been patiently waiting for the pro pics to go up on the photographer's blog. I know there will be several of me there, which I'll post when I can get to them. In the meantime, here are some random iphone/facebook photos, from my boyfriend and friends.

Us before we left the hotel. This is the only full-body shot of my I have, but unfortunately you can't see my shoes and I don't have my bag, so the whole "look" isn't really there:

Toward the end of the night, when I was (apparently) playing with bride and groom cake toppers (I don't even remember this):

A partial shot of my boyfriend's outfit- he opted to wear a favourite cardi under his suit jacket, which I loved. (He's got two beers here, but don't worry- one was mine;):

Nothing to do with the wedding, but I love this pic from the next day. Something about the colours in the room and my top- I thought you guys would appreciate:

Angie, you'll notice that I went with the belt you didn't go for (bad Ele!). In the end I liked the more modern look, especially since my shoes were retro-ish and my bag was vintage- a 1920's one Andrew gave me years ago. Also, the gunmetal trim on the buckle perfectly matched the metal in my vintage necklace, which I borrowed from my sister. All in all, I had very little financial outlay for this outfit!
