Good morning, lovely YLF ladies! Some of you might have noticed I've been absent from the forums for the past month. I wasn't traveling or anything, but on a self-imposed "internet break" for most of August. Other than keeping up with my own three blogs, I spent very little time online, focusing instead on some other things I've got going on.

So, I'm very happy to be back (I missed you all!) and I've got a question for you. Back when I bought this dress for my friend's wedding in October, Angie suggested I find a skinny vintage belt to wear with it. I loved the idea so have been on the hunt, but with minimal success so far. The actual vintage ones don't seem to work very well, and I haven't found one that fits in terms of size, price and style yet. On top of that I'd quite like a patent version to add some shine and match my shoes, and I'm finding it difficult to find vintage patent in good condition.

BUT, I was in town yesterday and found two options on the high street:

First, this Banana Republic style. I think the bit with metal post is actually the front, but I'd wear it the other way around, with the knot-thing at the front. I like the embossed texture of this one, and it has a vintage-y "feel", at least.

The other option is this Ted Baker belt. Much more modern, this one would give a different feel to the dress, but I still like it.

So, what's your vote? Are either of these winners, or would you keep looking?
