Two WIWs: A Little Edgy; Boyfriends and Blazer

Here are my outfits for yesterday and today!

#1: A slightly edgier work look, Everlane silk sleeveless tank + Club Monaco colourblocked wrap skirt (aka my Toronto Meetup Skirt!)

#2: Based on suggestions from fabbers in my thread about blazers, I rolled the sleeves on my knit blazer from Zara and wore it with a striped tee (GapFit) and boyfriend-ish jeans (Silver) for casual Friday. I added a skinny silver belt and silver flats. I feel ok in this outfit. I am pretty happy with the fit and shape of the blazer. One thing that bothers me is that I think the fabric of the lining and the button look cheap up close. I mean, the jacket was cheap, but I'd feel fabber if it didn't look cheap. Maybe nobody noticed but me? What do you think of the shape/fit/outfit as a whole?

I kinda want to see at least a small heel with #1.

Yeah, I'm with you... I feel like #1 would be too high for the office with that particular skirt, but fine for going out probably.

Both good looks! I rather like the flats with #1 for office wear, but swapping in heels would be perfect for going out. I think the blazer outfit silhouette is good, just push those sleeves up and you're all set there.

Very nice! Agreeing with annagybe about 1, and wouldn't #2 look nice with a bootie come fall? I don't think it looks cheap at all!

Also - how is the quality of Everlane shirts? How does it feel wearing them?

Great blazer look! I think you nailed it. Although few of my clothes are actually anything BUT cheap, I know the off-putting feeling of a cheap-looking element
to a garment. Maybe you could change the button? I've considered just cutting off a single button on one blazer that I'll never wear closed anyway. It's a white plastic button that looks... cheap. I don't see that in these photos though

Both outfits are great, but I especially like the one with the blazer!

I'm sorry that the blazer feels cheap. I agree that that can make an outfit feel less than amazing, even though it may look OK from a distance. In your pic, the blazer looks fine, FWIW.
