Too short? Be honest...

I'm on the fence about this. It looked good, but is it inappropriate at my age?

It's funny - my first post was trying to convince people that wearing long skirts are OK, now I've gone to the other extreme...

I'm 25 and petite and my shortest skirt is actually a little bit longer than that, so I'm inclined to say it is too short. Sorry!

Oh, I just read that you wore this to work. I would say it is most definitely too short for work!

I agree with Maya. You have great legs (I'm envious!), but I think it is too short, especially for work. I'm your age, and my shortest dresses are no more than 3" above my kneecap. But that's my comfort level, which may be different from yours

I think you could wear it out on weekends, but it's too short for work. For going out, I think it might look nice with a slinky shell and streamlined blazer with some sheen (or something along those lines). Or how about trying it over leggings or opaque stockings?

No, I was pretty uncomfortable in it all day, which tells me I should take that as my answer. Unless I got glaring GO FOR IT comments, I knew I'd never wear this again...so thanks for your honesty!!

SS, you have your answer, but I want to add that you should find other ways to show off your great legs! How about a combination of a short-ish dress and leggings?

Yes, 4 inches is too short. You could layer a longer skirt under it. Stripes or florals would look cute. Even a bold colored skirt would look cute uinder it.
