Just got back from my first meeting with Dr. Shrink (to brazenly steal a MaryK-ism), and I snapped an outfit photo in the lobby while I was waiting - sorry, that isn't The Couch where all the magic happens! It was a good session, and I will be going back for more.

The outfit was chosen for varied levels of comfort: sitting in a cushy chair, meeting someone new, not looking like a pauper in the upscale neighborhood, walking to and from the car, happy memories.

Yes, we all need a dr shrink from time to time. Yey for another pretty outfit. I wish you a lot of good luck with this journey. it can get disconcerting at times but do not give up;)

Nice waiting room -- hopefully the good taste is a reflection of the therapeutic quality. The bright blue topper really adds something to the look. According to the Shopbop editors, a bright blazer is a wardrobe must-have.

Mary, as a weird aside, Dr. Shrink asked if I'd ever thought of acting because of my "unique look." I think he was just making conversation, but I chuckled inside because it seemed like such an LA thing.

Tara, I will have to look at that painting more closely next week! As you see, the couch faces the other way, so I barely saw it. Now I'm wondering, too!
