I saw these photos and immediately disliked the dark boots and feel this needed something to balance it out. I played around with a scarf in burgundy shades to bookend it, but it was too late and my make up was off..so no photos...The scarf made a huge improvement. I also couldn't figure out what purse to wear with it so anyone with a creative suggestion of a good color?

Any other suggestions for improvement?

This was my tribute to breast cancer awareness which I waited to do near the end of the month to bring new momentum as the month winds down.

I love this Loft dress as it truly can be worn all seasons. I have moto jackets in burgundy, blush and cream that will all work nicely for winter.

I agree about the boots and the black purse is also too heavy but otherwise the pink elements look good together. My eye is pleased to catch a glimpse of blue in your bracelet, so I'm thinking therein lies a clue to accessorizing this outfit.

I think you could also change the color of the belt to dark brown so it bookends the boots. For the bag, I would stick to a shade of brown or may be white?

Burgundy accessories would be stunner with this outfit.

I actually like the brown boots with the pink color scheme. The only thing I would change would be a brown or pink or burgundy bag/sunnies. Or, make it all black and pink like a 50s look/Grease.

I added a second photo to see if the cololring shows up better as the boots are burgundy.

The burgundy boots look so much better in the second photo. I agree that the belt could be a deep burgundy. Love the pink!

Woah! The second pic looks so much different and better than the first! I think I would only change the bag! To a dark brown or burgundy.

I like this a lot, in fact I think the boots are bookended by your hair and sunnies! You could always change the belt, or you could go in another direction and add something blue. I would also consider a blue bag with this, particularly if you have a little blue elsewhere. A white bag would also look fab. Great look, Tracey!

I think the boots bookend your hair nicely and feel changing the bag to a lighter color would make the outfit more cohesive.

Goodness, what a difference in the second photo. Those boots are fine, just change the purse. I see Ingunn has suggested blue too.

For me the boots are too winter for this light colors, maybe a tan or nude bootie or shoes.
I would change the purse also

It's certainly clear that your outfit supports breast cancer awareness! Cute outfit. But you asked for constructive criticism, so here goes:

For colour, the only suggestions I can think of:
-match belt colour to boot colour (brown and brown, tan and tan, or burgundy and burgundy)
-lose the black purse
-or, wear black boots, black belt and black purse (that would be my choice if I was going to do all-over pink)

Also, the boots are a tad too high for that skirt. A bigger sliver of leg should be showing.

It's also possible that the fabrication of that skirt is too lightweight to wear with heavy burgundy tights, but it's hard to tell from the picture. It looks like a summer garden party skirt. But the rest of the outfit is firmly fall (autumn). Maybe the skirt would work better with no tights and a lighter top, yet still boots? I imagine you're not keen on switching up the boots for daintier shoes, since it's clear from your other pics that you're a boot gal. (Plus, temperatures may be calling for boots not shoes).

I like the idea of switching the belt to black and changing to black boots. I will try the burgundy boots with my burgundy moto later.

I like the outfit as is, with no belt. My poison eye flares up with belted heavier sweaters, and with your figure, you certainly don't need it!

I vote lighten the texture of the hose and add a brown bag. I like the brown boots. xo

I don't think that there is something wrong with the outfit. However,I think the combo of pink and brown makes this outfit look a bit dated to my eye.

Are the boots burgundy? Because they look brown on my monitor. I still see a bit of dateness, I'm sorry, but feel free to toss my opinion to the side.
The shape of the skirt has to do with it also. My suggestion would be to change top and boots to black and replace the hose for something more sheer.

Does it matter that it is a dress if you are styling it like a skirt? In any event, allow me to correct myself. Your burgundy boots and floral dress outfit would look better to my eye with the black pieces I suggested. Black boots instead of burgundy and black top instead of pink.

Yes, I mentioned earlier that I liked switching to the black, something for the future. Guess I was looking for a way go rescue the pink option since I chose it for Breast Cancer Awareness. If time allows I will try a different styling with the pink and photograph tomorrow.

Hi Tracey, because you asked I will share my thoughts for what they are worth. To my mind, this ensemble doesn't quite fit the direction i think I see you going in, but do correct me if I am wrong. The colours are divine on you. And while I realise you are 'fallifying' the dress, I am not sure that sweater is the best companion for the dress. I would be inclined to dispense with the sweater, go with nude hose and top with a jacket. If you need warmth, is it possible to pop on a thin layer under the dress? I feel there is a lot going on and just streamlining would be the tweak to make send it out of the ball park. The second pic is very helpful as it really does demonstrate the depth of colours in the outfit.

I really like the boots. I feel if anything, actually, it's the black bag that could be substituted for something else (not black). The black sunglasses work really well, which is funny (to my mind).
