the outfits I managed to photograph

Here's a couple from this week.

This outfit includes a swapped top and a white/off white pairing. The sweater is actually black and white and the pants are a winter white. I wouldn't have done this before but, as discussed in Maya's post, it works. I was particularly excited about the shirt because it gave me another opportunity to try a wearing a necklace my hubby got me that I haven't figured out how to wear. I think it works here.

This outfit is the day half of a day into night outfit. I really wanted to take a picture of the night outfit for you but was too tired after I got home from DH's gig. Here's the day outfit: http://i508.photobucket.com/al.....0_9370.jpg

For night, I put on my flat, silver sandals, swapped my work jacket for a denim jacket, and added a funky necklace. You'll just have to imagine.

You've sold me on mixing whites! It looks super. My only concern is that the pants look a little short with those shoes? Or is it just hte way you're standing?

I think I already mentioned how much I LOOOOVE that dress. It's the one from H&M that I think you got abroad right? It looks GREAT and it seems so versatile. Your evening outfit sounds killer!

Awesome, Maya. I'll admit that I was a little skeptical about the mixing but (of course) Angie was right again. The shoes probably aren't right for the pants. I never wear those and I'm thinking I'm going to get rid of them. I was trying them again for comfort and my memory served. The heel is too high for me. Not worth keeping them to take up space in the closet. And yup, this is the one I got on my trip. It's so very versatile.

Kyle, I really do think my style is evolving. You all have given me the courage to try all kinds of new things and I'm forever grateful. I leave the house with a spring in my step a lot more often these days.
