I've been keeping up with taking a quick outfit pic every day in an effort to work on my fashion goals that I wrote about last month:
The Learning Curve (or The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly)

This month I focused on taking your observations from last month and putting my best fashion foot forward (interesting pun since I had foot surgery yesterday). More specifically, making my clothing choices an accurate representation of me. It's a work in progress, but here's a sample from Oct.

My favorite items, a mix of new and not: Ivanka Trump black ankle strap pointy toed shoes - so comfy (#4), F21 pocket studded green plaid shirt (#5), JCP paint-splattered look plaid shirt (#7), J.Crew polka dot button-up (#3), F21 studded cat face sweatshirt (#10), F21 side zippers red plaid sweatshirt (#12), VC tube skirts (#4, #9, #12), Joe Fresh plaid ankle pants (#11).

Pic 14: Cosmo Edward in his Halloween costume (he's not thrilled with it, LOL)

Pic 15: Me and my buddy watching Sex and the City DVD's while I recuperate from bunion surgery. No cute shoes for six weeks! Whatever will I do? And why can't they make those boot things in leopard print?

Your style has just shot up recently -- you've really dialled in to what makes you happy!

10 is my absolute fave, but I enjoyed looking at every one! I hope your recovery is straightforward.

What a quick learner you are! I think I see results from your investigations already. My favourite outfit is #9 but I also love 3, 5, 8, and 11. It seems as if you're right about your casual looks and work looks being quite distinct -- it's good to know this!

Thanks for the recap, I really like seeing everything in one place. Karie, I love your style! Each and every one look polished whether casual or dressy. You look great in plaid (so on trend!). I hope your bunion surgery recovery goes well. Chuckling at the thought of leopard recovery boots.

Ceit, I have been trying to focus on the clothing that makes me happy - old and new - and I'm having fun in the process.
Suz, I am trying to merge my work and play looks once in a while - #12 is a fun sweatshirt, VC tube, and funky booties.
Debra, the spotty and the plaid pants are my favs. While Cosmo didn't like his "Tricks for Treats" costume, he did enjoy the attention from the neighbor kids (and the treats too).
CocoLion, maybe that's how I'll make my fortune - leopard recovery boots!

Next up, a Downton Abby marathon.

Quick Karie - get a patent for leopard print boot casts. There's a fortune to be made ... You could also have polka dots, tartan, baroque...

I see a real honing of your style taking place these days. There's very definite attention to fit and proportion as well as a bit more edge. Well that's at least what I see.

Fine outfits, my favourites are #3, 5, 9, 11 and 13. The fit of the jeans in #13 is truly superb.

Niefem, the jeans are Gap bootcuts in long length - I hemmed them up about 1/2 inch with magic hem tape, but am not sure about the length - I might make them longer.
Liz, I do wear hose this time of year with all my skirts, I like HUE brand, the shade is called Natural.
Shannon, I have been trying to attend to fit, proportion, and adding some edge - I am thrilled that it's coming through in my outfits! And polka dot post surgery boots? Could you imagine! I'd be crawling out to the store for a pair right now!

Yes, yes! Leopard recovery boots! Polka dot ones, too! I am supposed to get surgery to fuse my big toe, but I'm putting it off until I am in complete agony (and then I'll have to wait another three months due to the backlog) since it means I won't be able to drive for three months. So you have time to design them and get them into production. Sure, I can wear Karie black or Deb gray and those colors would go with my wardrobe, but leopard? Please, please.

BTW, I love your outfits, esp. your use of patterns. Fab!

Karie, I absolutely LOVE your outfit in #1! Can you tell me where you got the clothes for that outfit?

I hope the recovery goes well. Your leopard print comment made me laugh so hard! I guess you should just be grateful that the boot is in a neutral and not in something like neon pink.

You look so great! I think #8 is my fave, but you look polished and happy in all of them. Your pup is so cute -- I just noticed he's in your kayak in your profile pic.

I saw a very stylish woman today in a leg brace/cast, the kind that's like an exoskeleton that straps on, like you use after ACL injuries. She had legwarmers over her jeans and cast and the effect was suprisingly like knee-high boots. You could do that to add excitement to your lower legs while you're healing - maybe not legwarmers up to your knees, but slouched around your ankles.

Greyscale, leg warmers are a fantastic idea! I have a pair that my aunt made for me, I will get them out.
Gigi, the blazer in pic 1 is from Target, it's from last year but they have a similar style this year - it has a zipper around the bottom half (you can't see it in the photo). The pants and blouse are I heart Ronson from JCP (new), and the pumps are Naturalizer "Bohemia" (narrow width) from Zappos (last year).

Your style is really being honed. I see fab lady-like and interesting outfits for work and western or rocker influences in your casual wear. My favorites are 1,7,8,9. I hope you heal quickly.
