...are now highly usable! Thanks all for your suggestions with my grey trouser jeans (see pic, below). I decided to start by dyeing them, and voila! I now have a summer weight pair of jeans in a mid-blue wash to wear with flats. Thanks all for your help :). bonus pic of new necklace, Dolly by Dixie.

Love that new color! Personally, I am so much more comfortable in darker bottoms. It's fun to try lighter colors, but when they're not working the dyeing is a brilliant move

Heleen, Sarah, and Jonesy, thanks for looking. I am using these a lot now; they used to hang in the cupboard waiting to be worn.

Rute and Lisa, glad you like the necklace :). It jingles quietly when I move, which I love. It's a happy wardrobe item :).

I have a pair of pants with the same issue - what dye and color did you use? From the pic, you seriously cannot tell those were dyed. Props!

IK, I think its important to have a high cotton or natural fibre content - these were 85% cotton, and I used Dylon dye. It is super easy, it is a powder that you put into the machine with 500g of a special salt (sold together, usually), and then pop the damp clothes in and put through on a 40 degree C wash. It really couldn't have been easier. I used navy blue for these, and just to be safe the next wash load I ran was a black and darks load.

Lovely! That's a great shade of blue. I love them with the top and the red shoes and that sweet necklace!

Amazing isn't it, just by dyeing an item, you get a complete new feel and look! Yay for wearing them all the time now.

I liked the gray, but this new color is such a lovely shade. Hooray for them being worn a lot more now (Still loving that stripey top, so cool!)

Lynne you are so clever. What a great idea. The jeans look really good. I would never have guessed you had dyed them. They are a great relaxed shape and I just LOVE that stripey top!
