Things have been really crazy recently so I didn't have time to post my outfits, so here are they for two past weeks:

I am especially interested in your feedback on the first two, since I was experimenting with layering : short vest over tunic shirt and sweater over lace turtleneck.

Also, on 02/03 you can see my new "Laura" jacket - the black William Rast one I got from her at the NY swap. And the black Zara jacket from 02/07 is the one I got at Boston YLF meeting and haven't had the chance to wear till this Saturday.

Looking at these photos I noticed how often I wear my R&S skinnies tucked into silver Docs. I should definitely try to get more of such items.

Another great week! Laura jacket is beautiful and suits you well. One thing that really jumped at me, however, was the emerald sweater. That color suits you so well you really shine like a piece of gem!

As to your questions: I like the sweater over lace turtleneck, but I didn't like the first outfit as much as I like your other outfits.

I agree, the first outfit was ok, not fabulous. The rest were great! Awesome use of color everyday and I especially adore that ruffle sweater cardi! Adorable on you...

Tanya, I always look forward to seeing your outfits. I like the layering of the second outfit better than the first.

I think my favorite is Wednesday's with the emerald sweater. That is a really pretty color on you. I also like Thursday's with the cashmere turtleneck. It looks really comfy and cozy - perfect for a cold winter's day!

You look great with skinnies tucked into jeans. I never would have thought to try that look for myself, but I am really liking it. I have found myself wearing the look at least once a week. It is definitely a practical and stylish look for winter.

Also, the Laura jacket is killer!! It looks so good on you.

Super stylish! I love the jackets, of course. I was wondering if Laura's jacket worked for you. I really like the first outfit with the vest. Maybe the length of the button down is throwing people off, but I've worn virtually the same thing. I'm curious to hear what Angie says. The textures of lace and cashmere is not working for me but I'm wondering how it is in person. Tanya, you post picture of your outfits all year long and your wardrobe never ceases to amaze me.

Stunning looks as always. Your figure makes all the outfits look so effortless.
I like the vest and shirt with the first outfit but I think the fact that everything is so dark throws me off, a white shirt would be great with that vest. I like the second look a lot, it has a feminine and luxurious quality which speaks to me of your style. All others are killer !!

Tanya you look great. I agree that the first outfit is a little dark - a little contrast would probably be better. I also love that ruffle cardi - so cute!

Tanya, you have some killer layering pieces! I especially love the new "Laura" jacket, the cream Mango vest, and the gray Anthropologie sweater.

For some reason I'm not as fond of the first outfit as some of your others. I think it's the length of the button-down, and I agree with GG that a white shirt would improve the look.

I agree that you rock the skinnies and Docs look and I'm so glad you've found them to be a combo that really works for you.

About the first outfit, I have the same shirt in white too. I am actually more curious if the proportions of short vest over tunic length shirt work regardless of the color.

I think that the proportions work but something about the long line of buttons underneath the vest throws me off. I think it works when the button down is shorter. A plain fitted tunic might work better that a button down. Of course I may be off on this and a white shirt might make a difference.

I really like the 1-28 and 1-29 outfits. I adore your white Mango vest - it looks so much more fun than most sweater vests I've seen. The white color creates this lovely pop of color, it's delicious. I'm also glad Laura's jacket worked out so well.

I'm going to follow this thread and opinions on the first vest outfit. I'm totally undecided. I'm also trying to figure out how to wear them in the future.

Nothing new to add except that I think someone wove that William Rast outfit straight out of my DREAMS. It's amazing and you look so so good in it. I love the boiled wool ruffle jacket too.

The William Rast jacket is made for you. I also love your Anthropology wool jacket and the Zara jacket. I don't know how you decide what to wear everyday with so many great choices. Wednesday's outfit is so great on you. The Doc's are also great on you.

You look AMAZING in that turquoise V-neck with the long necklace! Is that turquoise? And my favourite outfit is the denim skirt look right at the end with the Zara jacket and textured tights. Is that the one we bought together in Boston? BUT, you look fabulous everyday and it’s hard to pick the best outfit because everyday is your “best outfit day”. Laura’s ex–jacket looks wonderful too. Angie, that sweater is actually bright emerald green, not turquoise, and it's a fairly new color for me. Yep, that is indeed the Zara jacket we bought together in Boston. Sadly while wearing it a couple of those hook-and-eye closures came off from the jacket so I am going to have to bring it to the tailor to refasten them with a sturdier thread. I was actually inspired by you when putting that outfit together, especially the tights; so I am glad it is your favorite.

Great outfits as always, Tanya. I always click on your outfit posts right away to see what you have come up with. I agree that the length of the top under the vest works but the dark colors and line of buttons below the belt is only okay -- a tunic top might look better. It's not a bad outfit just not as great as the others. Everything else works wonderfully.

Tanya I'm late on chiming in, but as always I love your outfits. Your jackets are especially gorgeous - esp the Zara and William Rast ones! I really like the first outfit but agree that a shirt in a contrasting colour might improve the look with the vest. You look so good in the skinnies and docs it is no wonder you make the most of that look!! I am so buying those docs when it starts cooling down here, I hope you don't mind me copying you

I love the 2/03 post.
The asymmetrical line of the jacket against the fitted(lighter color)
top underneath is interesting.
Added texture to the outfit.
I agree with Greenglove about the first pic.
I think having buttons on both of the top pieces is not showing off your wonderful figure with the
proportions of the vest/shirt/jean/boot.
I like the idea of trying a plain tunic..

I love your outfits this week (well, I always love them). The two jackets are amazing! I love the little plaid button on the jacket from 2/7.

I think the shorter vest works in the first outfit, and I like the layered turtleneck on Tuesday. The seagreen sweater is so pretty, especially with the Docs--it's unexpected! Oh, I really like the short cream knit vest over the red shirt, too. I like how you layered the BCBG lilac blouse with the cream cardi, that would be a great idea for Sarah to wear hers, too.

Boy you guys are a busy bunch! Tanya I love all your outfits--always! I love the Saturday jacket and skirt ensemble, and you look fabulous in that shade of blue from Thursday.

I'm not sure how I feel about the vest w/tunic. To me, the proportions are off--but it could be one of those things that just takes my eye longer to adapt to.

I love them all. The 2/03 jacket is killer. The blue t-neck is one of my favorites on you, since the color matches your eyes.

I have the same boiled wool jacket, but in a heather green. I think it's the same? If not, very similar. I have not yet worn it. Every time I try, something feels wrong about it on me. Now I think I know what it is: it's too big lengthwise. If I decide to let it go, let me know if you want it...

Nicole, I still can not quite decide if the vest over tunic shirt thing works or not. I think I am going to take a photo with white shirt and start a separate thread, since the opinions were quite split.

Shiny, I have seen you green boiled wool jackets in some photos, and it is swoon-worthy! It is not the same as mine, but same general styling. If you do decide to let it go, I would be extremely happy to take it of your hands, it is gorgeous!
