SYC (crasher) challenge: White After Labor Day

So, I'm not technically in the SYC challenge, but I'm participating in the White After Labor Day challenge anyway. Call me a crasher.

Here is WIW today:
Talbots white denim
Rack see-throughy black tunic with ruffle/flower detail (haha, that's the technical description)
White cami
Silver belt
Me Too ballet flats
Chunky silver gray necklace
(and the BK bag

I *tried* to wear a new flower turquoise necklace that April gifted me, but it keeps coming unfastened and I didn't have time to monkey with it this AM. It added that pop of color we're always talking about around here.

PS: This is the "I have worked all day and am ready to change into PJs" look.

Perfect for white after Labor Day - the black tones it down for fall and your accessories make it fab

(the turquoise necklace might have given it a more summery vibe - depending on the shade. . .)

Sara- excellent point. The necklace is quite bright, so it really would have converted the look back to summer.

You were definitely along for the purchase of the black tunic and bag. All the rest you sent me. That could be the reason for the style similarity. (Talbots denim, necklace, Me Toos, belt, and yes, even the white cami!)

Super cute outfit, Mae. And I love your hair too. I think white after Labor Day is great--feels a little rebellious. I'm planning on wearing white denim to my husband's gig on Saturday night and am thinking of going with a sleeveless, eggplant tunic for the winter/summer mix. I'll have to see. So Mae, I don't know about the white after labor day challenge. Are you planning on more looks? I'd love to see them.
