Spring Break: Debora goes wild!

Look quick because you may never see me doing this again! I have a teenage son, need I say more?

Photo #1: Getting muddy! A girlfriend and I went ATV riding with our sons in the Shenandoah Valley yesterday. We had a blast!

Photos #2-3: An yellow and black Easter remix. I decided to add the peplum jacket (NAS two years ago) after reading Angie's post on the peplum trend.

Photo #4: A recreation of what I wore out to lunch with my son. I actually wore my darker wash Paige skinnies, but they are currently in the wash.

It looks y'all had fun at Shenandoah Valley! And the Easter outfit adorable. I like how the peplum jacket isn't overwhelming, but accentuates. The lunch outfit looks very relaxed and comfy.

Well, you first "look" is quite, um exuberant!

I adore the shoes and the button-back detail on the front of the peplum jacket. In the second, I love the bag -- very sunny, yet structured! Your style is warm and approachle, but very polished and elegant

Thanks everyone! That was my first time on an ATV and so out of character for me. I still can't get over how much fun it was.

OMG, I laughed out loud at this, truly. The transition from the ATV to your gorgeous lady-like outfit was so abrupt I felt I'd gone on that ride with you!

You always look so polished and wonderful. These are fantastic outfits, strong and simple, and I am loving that yellow bag! Not to mention the yellow skirt. And the peplum jacket! I am telling you, this year when Angie says NAS, I am listening!!

I've never played in the mud. I think I would have been squirming at how dirty I was getting. I'll have to take your word that it was fun. : P

That looks intense! But you look like you are in proper protective gear. A lot of ranchers are using ATVs instead of horses these days. Not as romantic as horseback, but safer. If ever you've been thrown when a horse gets spooked, you know what I'm talking about.

Your outfits are beautifully coordinated. I love the casual outfit with the peacock top under the cutaway jacket.

Denise, that is so interesting about the ranchers using them. I can see how they would be safer in that respect. I've never been on on horse, but DD used to ride when we lived in Germany and Texas. She was thrown once and we were so thankful for for her helmet when we saw the dent left in it by the horse's hoof. We were careful with the ATV's and had a guide to lead us on the trails, which more rugged than I expected. We also wore long pants and gloves. The helmets were pretty substantial and came down to cover our ears. I was glad we all had on sunglasses, as there were lots of low hanging branches.

We are off this morning for Admitted Student's Day at my son's future college. That should be a whole different type of experience! He is super excited.

What a great pic, you ATV Wild Child (just saw the thread on Suz's "misbehaving" post! You look so elegant in the yellow Halogen and I love the yellow and aqua/turquoise combination in the lunch-with-son pic. Hope you had fun at the college day activities.
