Bought this sweater a good while back, actually, when I was asking after citron basics. I'm hoping this baby will at least get me through another year, since my Pim & Larkin cashmere pullover is pilling so badly. I initially paired the sweater with my slouchy camo pants, but it was so nice outside that they seemed too heavy. Out came my Camerons... again. If I tracked cost-per-wear, I'm sure it'd be minuscule in no time (and hey, I never noticed before, but they have citron stitching)! Topped off with a new $1 belt.

No special outing today, just a trip to Dr. Shrink and the grocery store. But a chic woman in the parking garage elevator in Beverly Hills complimented me on my ability to wear yellow! I count that as a fashion victory.

Have you tried depilling your other sweater rae? I have a little machine (like a small electric razor) that works really well.

My sweater started pilling like mad too! I love this outfit, especially those jeans. And I got the black version of that belt at the Shoptoberfest flea market visit!

Love the fit and silhouette here, Rae. The top seems fitted, but substantial in the weight of the knit, and that's a great combination. Do you ever have trouble with too much stretch in knits? Particularly lightweight tees? They migrate all around my body and drive me crazy --- this one is perfect, and the color is perfect for So Cal.

Caro, yes, I've been depilling it every wear for a good long while now. It started to pill after only a couple wearings!

Shevia, I have noticed that. I really used to envy those in yellow, too! I thought I could not wear it. Must have been a lot of mustard out there before citron hit the stores.

Beth Ann, yes, thin tees are tricky for me. Specifically, many of them give me a weird potbelly look. I don't have the flattest tummy, but many tees highlight exactly what I don't like. It's one of the reasons I was willing to shell out for some Madewell linen tees this year.

Rachy, thank you! I may use "simple and striking" as a mantra for work outfits. Don't want to look overdone or like I can't relate to the "normals" (shout out to your recent post), but I do want to look like I know what I'm doing.

Love this outfit with the slim top and easier fit boyfriend jeans. What do you do with a pilled cashmere sweater? Do you have a way to rescue it? Do you toss it? Sell it? Donate?

Denise, I just don't know! I can't bring myself to take it out of the closet yet. I guess one day I will go to shave off some pills and there will be nothing left underneath? o_0

This has to be one of my favorites and it's probably because this is YOUR color. btw, your hair is looking so gorgeous; are you using a certain gel or product to give it that sleek look? Nicely done! You look great, as usual! But the sweater doesn't read as "citron" at all on my monitor (isn't citron a greenish yellow?) This sweater looks more like canary or just yellow.

Oh this is a great fashion victory, Rae! I actually had my eyes on this sweater from BR for the longest time but I am saving money for a leather jacket and trench coat so did not want to buy any more sweaters.

Vicki, yes I have used something different, and thank you for noticing! It is called Maxius Beyond Straight. I think it was meant to be used with my flat iron, but even though I have not been straightening, the product helps things stay sleek and not poofy. TylerAnne, it is a very brigjt, greenish yellow in real life. Day Vies, I would love to see your version!
