...featuring a new denim skirt #1, worn today with the shirt from my very first WIW some 3 years ago :). The skirt is from Sportscraft and I am still working out how to add it via Finds. It is a dressier length and a darker wash than my old one and I am loving playing with it! Thanks for looking :).

So good to see you Lynne:). I love your outfits. #3 is especially gorgeous. The denim skirt is a great fit and I like the length. Do you do find it comfortable?

Here's my old skirt, it's still in good use but it has a slightly more casual vibe.

It's interesting how different the skirts are. I prefer the new one, it is dressier and looks excellent. Worn with the boots is extra fab. I love the last outfit so much - so ladylike but not prim, the right balance of florals (for my eye, which generally struggles with the pattern) and the right colours for you, and of course the length is pure perfection. Gorgeous sandals too.

Btw, I love your longer hair.

I recently played with some casual and some work capsules and noticed that my casual capsules 'mirror' my work looks; the fabrication and execution is different but the underlying formula/silhouette is the basically the same: fitted knee length skirt work best for me, soft blouses worn out more than tucked, plus jacket and scarf/necklace. Do you find similar 'silhouettes' repeating in your wardrobe?

That makes sense. I think that's a great way to keep your casual looks from feeling too dressed down, if you prefer a more polished look.

Yes! I do find that I tend to stick to a silhouette or two that just work all around. You do casual very well! Love the moto in #2, and the sandals are the perfect nude in #3 - those are my very fav

Remember a few years ago when denim on denim was considered bad? your first outfit shows how well it can work when it is done right. I also love the floral dress on you. Very pretty. I really like the top with the curved hem and scarf in the bonus pic too. it creates almost an ombre effect and works nicely.

Love #2 but I love boots. I love your skirt. How can you go wrong with denim? All the outfits look great. To answer your question about work and casual capsule I am no longer working (I have retired) but when I was working I did mirror my wardrobe. I wore dress pants, shirt and topper to work. I generally wore booties in cooler weather and sandals in warmer weather. When I am not working I wear jeans, shirt, topper, booties or sandals. If it is warmer I wear lighter weight pants (linen) or shorts and no topper.

Wow, what a gorgeous casual capsule! Always love me a denim skirt, and your new one is a great length-for dressier vibes, too! Love all the 3 outfits! Love how you achieved completely different looks in 1 and 2. Nr.1 is an elegant modernt classic but those boots and the jacket give more edge to nr 2. Love the white flowy shirt, vs. the fitted pinstriped, too. Oh, and the ladylike fabness in nr 3!!! Those subtle pastels are so flattering to your complexion, and you look fab in that dress. Love the floral necklace:-).

Una, I did think of you when I bought the biker boots :D! They were on deep sale and quite out of my comfort zone but they're a gorgeous burgundy colour that I've been wanting to add to my wardrobe. It's the end of boot season in Australia so I'm taking any opportunity I can to use them.

Hello gorgeous! You're looking lovely as ever. I really like the new denim skirt, very polished and a great versatile wash. Looks just as good with the more casual denim-on-denim in #1 as does the dressier version with silky top and leather jacket in #2. How fun to read that the moto boots are burgundy! They sound like a great option for you. As always the pretty soft colors in #3 are very flattering on you. Hope you and your family are well!
