should single button blazer go back?

My post on double breasted and singled breasted jackets brought a comment by someone saying that the single breasted was not really flattering on my. It is actually quite and expensive jacket and if it is not flattering I want to return it and use the money for something that is more flattering. Please help me decide if it should go back or not. Thankyou!

Sorry San, I didn't mean to ignore this blazer earlier. I think this will look amazing with straight leg jeans but the proportions are throwing me with the leggings. I definitely see potential though.

My initial reaction was that I've seen you in more flattering pieces in other posts, but perhaps RoseandJoan is correct and it's really more of a jeans piece. Maybe try that and post pics?

I looked back at the other post with pictures of the dbl breasted jacket, and prefer that to this one. I think because you are thin, petite and narrower in the shoulders, the detail in the jacket is more flattering. The single breasted blazer doesn't seem to flatter your shape as well. If you were wearing a different shirt underneath with some pop of color, that might change the whole look. Maybe you could post a few more pictures with it styled different ways and we can take another look.

another vote for return. it's okay, but it's just not the most flattering thing on you, and i've seen you in far more flattering things for your gorgeous figure.

It's perfectly fine San but if it's pricey then I'd say you can return and by something that has a greater wow factor.

Ok thankyou ladies. It is the proper size, but does have the new fangled big shoulder pads. We're talking more than $500 on this. It is Nina Ricci wool and silk which takes the price up and the fine materials may have swayed my view of the jacket in general.
I'll take some pictures with jeans and see what you all think.

It's kind of arty and slouchy, but that can also translate to a little odd and boxy. Since it was expensive I would return it, unless you love it in which case you should run with it.

I'd like to see the jean pics too San, but so far I am inclined to agree with others that it doesn't do you justice!!!

I posted another thread with pictures of the jacket taken with jeans, taken outdoors. I hope you all will take a look at that post and tell me what you think seeing it in a different style.
